"The wife and I certainly enjoyed dining at this lovely establishment. I recommend The Gilmore Cheeseburger which provides an invitingly sweet-ish taste of an American classic. Umm, delectable! My wife ordered one of the Top Sirloin Filet with herb garlic on the side. My drink was the Peach Manhattan was splendidly delicious. We delighted in the ambience of the Gilmore and appreciated that Royce Lasion, co-owner, visited our table to check and chat with us. Matt was our waiter; he personable, engaging and humorous. He made our experience more enjoyable. Another employee, Nate stopped by often to keep our water topped off. The City of Lorain deserves a fine dining establishment like; I feel this is a good start. This restaurant is certainly not Applebee’s (trust me, I like Applebee’s!) and the menu prices reflect that. On certain occasions, we want to partake in fine dining. We will be back to sit down and enjoy a meal here when we are back in town for visits."

"We had been before and had a great experience (good food, fast service) so when we heard about the valentines special we made reservations. Boy were we wrong to go back. We got there at 645 for a 7 pm reservation, seated and we did not get our food for over 2 hours. It took an hour to get the salads. We just had them box up the food because of how late it was getting. I get waiting 45 min to an hour but 2 hours is ridiculous. The waitress knew nothing about the menu as she usually worked a different shift, OK, I kind of get that...but should have looked at it some first. Then, to top that off, the lobster tasted off. While our first experience was good, the second WAAAAY offset it. We spent $400 to just get food to go. I could have done that at home for cheaper. Not sure we will go back, sadly. We were hoping to have a good date spot locally."

"The food is definitely delicious!! Got the burger and will been thinking about this flavor combo for a while!!! Absolutely amazing! Truffle fries are good too. The French martini could hands down be my favorite drink I've ever had! Will definitely be here once a month!"

"Went for breakfast with friends on a Friday morning. Only one table had guests when we arrived and 5 tables total throughout our meal. The good and the bad of our experience. The Good - The hostess was friendly, professional and sat us promptly. The hostess took our drink order and, being her first day, she did great. Our server was friendly but not as attentive as could have been for the amount of tables she was taking care of. Food menu was limited but looked good and the food was very flavorful. Now The Bad - It took way too long to get our food and we speculated that it was a good thing they weren't busier. We couldn't imagine it being much slower. When the food finally came out, the over easy eggs were way over cooked and literally cold. Also the ordered Fritatta look delicious but was also cold. Both went back and the exact same plates came back warmer, but even then only slightly warm. We ordered the beignets with chocolate dip to try. They came out and were 5 mini donut hole sized and a bit over cooked. I was looking forward to 5 New Orleans style but not even close. Way overpriced. They have some major hurdles to overcome if they are going to be successful and all three of us want them to succeed. If they cook the food as ordered, seriously shorten the wait time and deliver it fresh and hot, it could work. FYI - gratuity was added on each bill at 18%. The server is going to lose out in most cases."
