"Having lived in California and Texas for years, I've become skeptical of eating anything called Mexican food away from a border state. However...while El Toro Bravo is more Tex-Mex than actual Mexican, I'm glad I gave this place a chance. The steak and rice I ate was perfectly respectable and very flavorful. The waiters were as nice as they could be. And, it seemed like everybody in the neighborhood was in there, as indicated by how hopping the restaurant was. I'd return."
"Jan; both craving the Boss Burrito, excellent as always. Noted that pricing is increasing and not the same as on menu. $15.99 on menu, charged $22. Oct; Spicy shrimp excellent! He just loves the Boss Burrito lol. Great service, not sure what I wanted, all so good, asked our waiter for a recommendation for something spicy and maybe shrimp, quickly advised Camarones a la Diabla, perfect. Absolutely best service and food. Last night no exception, good weather on the patio. Fajitas and Boss Burrito excellent! We come here about once a month, never been disappointed, and always large portions."

"I was even more impressed by the place this time than the last time I was here. The chips and salsa were fresh and spicy but not too spicy. My Birria (goat) Tacos were big, well-filled and very tasty, with cups of consomme and spicy green salsa for dipping. That green salsa was amazing, unlike any I've had anywhere else. My Large Margarita had lots of flavor, and they didn't skimp on the tequila either! My lady's Shrimp Tacos were really good, too. Our server wasn't terribly friendly but he was polite and checked on us often. The atmosphere of the place is rather comfortable. We'll be back!"
