"Tasted like microwaved leftovers at best. Soggy chicken and old spaghetti. Salmon was old and chewy probably microwaved as well. Gnats buzzing all around and it’s February. Sad. Server was nice though."

"I stopped in this little place for a quick bite to eat and it's a nice little restaurant with a small bar and American food. It was about 3:00 p.m. and the was empty. It didn't take long for me to receive service or my food. The server that I had was wonderful. She was very warm and inviting and very accommodating. She wanted to make sure that everything that I received was just the way it was supposed to be. She let me take my time considering this is my first time here. The was a loaded baked potato. I will say this potato soup does almost top-notch for what I've had up until this point here in the city. I also ordered the cheese burger with jalapeno cheese and it was ok. The meat itself could use a little seasoning but the overall meal was delicious. So, if you up near Liberty Children's Hospital, this would be a nice little spot to stop and grab a bite and a beer. You won't be disappointed."

"I have been coming here since it opened. Clearly not the same. The last two times we have been, it's been not great. I overlooked the issues the first time because everyone has bad days. This second time, the food was not great again Please don't send your young servers out to give the excuse the chef is training someone. If you are truly training someone, you just showed them it is ok to try to pass off food that isn't right. That shows a lack of caring. The torn booth seats are another annoyance. They have been like that for months. The server was fantastic. Very sweet. They did discount my food, but I just wanted the food made correctly. Maybe breakfast is your niche because everyone brags about that. Your dinners, not so much."

"We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 8:45 and were seated promptly. We ordered the American breakfast (bacon, eggs, home fries, biscuit, and one piece of French toast) and a tall order of French toast (3 slices). The bacon and home fries were very good! The home fries were sliced potatoes that were pan fried and a little crispy. The eggs and French toast were average. Service was great, although a little slow. The atmosphere is very bar-like—a little dark for breakfast—but comfortable. Would go back again to try other items from the menu!"

"Wanted to try a new place for breakfast. Was in the area and decided to see what Fireside Cafe had to offer. The place is warm and cozy, and they do serve lunch and dinner. It has a "sports bar" feel which adds to the ambiance. The staff is very friendly and courteous and very attentive to your needs. For breakfast, I decided on the "Create your own Platter". I had two eggs scrambled, two sausage patties, home fries, toast - also added Cheesy Grits and French Toast with blueberries. My partner had the "Steak Eggs Benedict" with Chipotle Hollandaise, home fries with onions and Arugula. Everything was hot an delicious! The french toast was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside, literally melted in my mouth! If you are looking for a reasonably priced restaurant with great food and service, look no further than "Fireside Cafe"! You won't be disappointed!"
