"I ran into this restaurant by accident with my wife and son when we were trying to go to the Chinese restaurant a few doors down. Let's just say I got in and out in like 35 minutes. The service was fast, the food was good, but the price did feel a little expensive for what we got. I spent almost the same amount that I would at El Toro, but got significantly less. All together it was a nice trip and I feel if you are working and want Mexican quickly it's a good place to go."

"It was disappointing to say the less I had the quesabirria and it was very bland, it has a red sauce on the said as you can see in the picture the sauce taste like straight cinnamon not good at all. I also had the elote, which is something I love well this elote tasted like regular corn on the cob covered in tajin. I won't be returning."

"I'm conflicted. I thought to myself "They should have a better lunch crowd." At the same time, I was glad it wasn't crowded and noisy. I'd put dollars to pesos that the shrimp in my dish came in frozen. This sets the tone for my experience. There wasn't anything bad about the food. I enjoyed every bite, but it was all mediocre. There was no "WOW" moment. There was nothing about the food that would make me rave to a friend; "You have to try this!" The prices seemed a little high, but admittedly, I am a little behind the times of value to pricing. If I'm paying ~$20 for a deep fried burrito, I kind of expect something that will catch my attention. If you stop in here, I'm confident you'll leave with a full belly. If you don't have amazing company like I did, you may not find much special about Don Patron's."

"I do not enjoy writing bad reviews, but I've been here probably 4-5 times for work lunches and have had a disappointing experience each time. Prices are affordable, but no matter what I have ordered from their menu I've come away dissatisfied and regretting it. I'm reminded of my own cooking in college, when I would find myself drunk in my kitchen assembling cheese and tortillas into vaguely edible shapes at 1am. This last time I tried ordering up the menu one of their more expensive dishes thinking maybe my problem had been that I was cheap, but after first getting my order wrong and having to send it back, even that was still basic and mildly unpleasant. There are simply better Mexican restaurants up and down Colonel Glenn Hwy."

"This was our first time going to Don Patron and it will not be our last! Our server was amazing and we were greeted immediately (unlike Chuys where we sat for 15 minutes as the only customers there and were never greeted once sat). The food came out hot and fast and my goodness, the portion sizes left us with a bunch of leftovers! We never had to ask for refills. Our new favorite restaurant! (Pictured: Cheese Steak Burrito, Tamales and Steak Fajitas!)"
