"This is by far the best place to eat in Dayton. We come here every Saturday for lunch or dinner, such a treat. Today they outdid themselves with a Yuzu & Saffron Tart. It was delicious! As always, I come for the Porchetta and it never disappoints. Thanks for bringing it back!"

"We stumbled on this restaurant in our travels and we can honestly say it was one of the best meals we have had! The quality of the ingredients and the flavours were excellent. Grist specialized in breads and pastas. It’s a casual dining place. You order at the counter or on your phone. It is far from a cold in out type of joint! We were and I am sure most will have the pleasure of meeting Casey the owner as she was there behind the counter. Her enthusiasm and passion for her establishment and the food she makes is immediately obvious. We had the focaccia, mushrooms ravioli , pasta with their bolognese sauce and even tried their cannoli and the white chocolate tart with a citrus twist for dessert! Everything was excellent and just the right balance of flavours so that you could taste the pasta as well as the sauce! The desserts were the perfect finish. I can’t believe we had room. We used up all the focaccia to mop up the sauce from our main course. They serve a very health size of focaccia! If you are in Dayton, Ohio you will not be disappointed. You all in Dayton are so lucky to have Casey and family all there serving you! All the success is well deserved! They opened 3 years ago on Valentine’s Day! It was a pleasure and was made to feel like a guest in their home!"

"I've been to Grist for lunch many times, but never for dinner until recently. I'm a very picky eater and was apprehensive about the items on the menu - worried I wasn't going to like their entrees, but boy was I wrong! I took a shot in the dark and it was delicious! My boyfriend ordered something I wasn't sure I'd like, but I tried his and liked it even more than what I ordered! We also ordered the Rosemary & Parmesan Focaccia, and I had a dream about it that night. Fabulous place, incredible food, wonderful people."

"We dined at Grist for the first time this evening we were very pleased with our experience. We had a reservation and we were immediately seated after checking in at the front counter. The food and drinks were fantastic! Although there are no servers, Milo gave us great service. We enjoyed ordering through the QR code at the table with the ability to leave the tab open to order additional drinks as needed. The timing of the appetizers to the pasta was perfect. The only note I would offer is that our table was a bit too intimate. We found it to be a little small for our liking, but we definitely plan to return. Wonderfully kind staff and delicious food!"

"If you want fresh pasta this is the place to go! Eating here was a lovely experience. The ordering was all done at the front register but they bring you your food to your table. The food was spectacular. Especially the focaccia! The wine was pretty good as well. I would love to come back again soon! Edited to add: The classes they offer are so fun and informative. We found that it was worth the price. An unforgettable experience!"
