"The food and the customer service at El Toro are amazing! We take our elderly aunt here, and they always treat her with such kindness. They are so patient when it takes her a long time to order. They make sure to make her margarita very light alcohol with extra ice ;) so she doesn't feel like she's missing out on cocktails. The staff at this restaurant treat their customers like family. It's always a great experience when we go there. Thanks again for an extra special dinner with our Aunt Barbara!"

"The Mexican food quality and taste is just OK. The pricing is a bit high for such mediocre food, but is probably because the portions are generous. The atmosphere was nice. The bathrooms were a safety hazard and gross! They literally threw a bucket of water with cleaning solution onto the bathroom and declared it as 'clean.' It was hazardous for everyone who walked in there. Honestly I am so pissed about it as my 85 year old mother almost fell!"

"We really wanted to like this place more than we did. The atmosphere was so much fun, vibrant, and felt lively. We were really excited the minute we stepped in the door. And that is as far as we had to get before it started to fall apart. We stood there for about 10 minutes while servers walked around us, and the person at the reception area was busy doing something on the computer in front of her. Never even tried to make eye contact with us. Finally, she turned and yelled at a group of servers and told one to get over and seat us. So he did. We sat for another 20 minutes before our server came to take our order. That was the last time we saw him. Food was delivered by another person, and that was the end of service. The food was incredibly disappointing. I LOOKED good, but I can only describe the cheese in the chile relleno as processed, and the tortillas as generic. Honestly, some of the worst Mexican food I have had in a while. After waiting another good 20 minutes after we were finished and no sign of the waiter, I got up and went back to the host stand while she continued to ignore me. FINALLY someone walked up and asked what I needed and I simply said, "to pay for my food." He found our server, and the server came over and handed me the check, with no apology, or even a care. And although this place was ripe for someone to dine-and-dash, I did the right thing and paid the $60 bill, and we left. As we were walking to the car my husband informed me that while I was trying to pay, the man at the table next to us was telling the server that he refused to pay for his food because it was so awful and they had waited for so long. So we weren't the only ones not happy with the establishment. Not sure why there are such high reviews here, but I would say stay away and hit the chili joint next to it."
