"5 stars all around! The food was SO good. Had the seasonal mushroom dish and my husband had the Philadelphia. I wasn't a big fan of the apple crisp, it wasn't gooey, sugary, and juicy like a crisp should be, but it was ok. Service was excellent! 10/10"

"If you like foo-foo food prepped by a high class chef; meaning a classy chef appeal that is small portions with a high class price - You'll love this place. It didn't impress me much and we won't put it on our list to frequent. I can't recommend this one to friends, family or followers. Unless you just like to trying to interpret the menu by trying to sort thru the foo-foo high class wording. Just not for me.....definitely not for a small town boy like me who works hard for his money. Usually Intake photos but it was so unimpressive price wise....photos weren't worthy."

"I love Wheat Penny but like an unfaithful lover, I rarely show my love. I recommend it to LOTS of people but I haven't been in ages. We really try to make it a family affair. When family members come to town, this is like the main place we take them to to have a sit down dinner. Since our children are now adults, it gets harder and harder to do this. This past Friday my daughter was leaving town to head back to her last year of college. Her gf was in town so we decided to go together alongside our youngest son. We had a blast. The food was delicious (my pictures don't do it any justice). THe drinks were on point. I liked their beer selection as well. Sometimes beer selections can be overwhelming but they had all of the different flavors without too much of a list. My family enjoyed the food. If you want to go to a nice place with a great atmosphere for your family, please go to Wheat Penny. Again, I shall make it a point to visit more often because I do enjoy this place."

"Wife and I stopped here for lunch on the weekend. What an awesome place this is! Before we even get to the food -- the vibe, openness, décor was so cool. They feature a lot of fantastic wall art from a local artist, which is great to see them support the community. Our waitress was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The menu was the perfect mix/balance of "unique/new" but also familiar items. It didn't scare us away, but made us excited to try something that had a twist on what we knew. Very smart! The food itself was fresh, delicious, and packed full of flavor! I was surprised at the competitive pricing of the food given the quality of it. This was a ~35 minute drive for us, but Wheat Penny Oven and Bar has made its way to my "favorites" list on google maps. We will be back soon for lunch!"
