"First timers here. Oh my, you haven’t had food until you have Mz. Jade’s Soulfood. It was some of the best food we have eaten! The catfish had a thin layer of meal that was crisp and not soggy. The candied yams were perfect and soft with just the right amount of sweetness. The Cole slaw is so creamy. Everything about this place leaves you full and happy!"
"Wish they was more then 5 stars. Wow was this food amazing. So we heard so many people talking about how good the food was and I thought I’m not really convinced and it takes a lot to make me like food but wow again the food was amazing. A must get is the fried green tomatoes, even my hubby loved them which blew me away he was even willing to try them let alone liked them. Can not wait to go back and try more food but next time I have to try not to over stuff myself."
"We had planned an evening out with friends and went to Mz Jades. What an awesome dining experience! Food was great, fresh and hot. Service was friendly and fast. Our server was Mz Jade's daughter and she was the best! I think this is the best catfish I have ever had! We will be back."
"Hands down the most special restaurant experience I've had in years! We absolutely loved it. The food, service, and atmosphere far exceeded our expectations. We came after we saw Ms. Jade paid the cafeteria debts for the kids and wanted to support her. Not only did she do that, she also gives free meals to those who can't afford it and does a thanksgiving meal for those who need it. Let's start with the drinks. First they are about $15 each for specialities and they are worth it. Everyone loved their fun cocktails. I got the strawberry Hennessy and it was delicious, like a glass of candy. For the starters we got hush puppies and fried green tomatoes, both so good. For the entree I got the fried whiting with yams and macaroni. The fish has an amazing coating that is crispy and flavorful without being spicy at all. The tarter sauce? So good. So. Good. The only thing better was the sides. Friends got hot from the oven corn bread that was delightful, not too sweet and buttery. The yams have a delightful vanilla cinnamon syrup and the macaroni is perfect, seasoned and plenty of cheesy sauce. I got a strawberry banana pudding to go and it is so good! Our waitress was wonderful and Ms. Jade gave all of the ladies a rose to take home? It was so wonderful all the way around. I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant, don't walk run! You will love it."
