"We were staying at the hotel and came down for a few cocktails. The service was slow at the bar, even though they appeared to have enough staff, and the staff seemed uninterested in being there. It was very crowded due to number of holiday parties but no one had a sense of urgency except the bar backs. We left after one round of expensive cocktails. Do not order an Old Fashion here - the bartender that made ours had no idea what he was doing. The atmosphere was excellent and we loved the outdoor area. I am hopeful it was just an off night and maybe the staff was overwhelmed and tired from the holiday season. We will try again if we are back in the area."
"The atmosphere is what you expect in a fine dining restaurant. Except for the table, It seemed to be an after thought. It was next to the server station with very poor lighting compared to other tables in the restaurant. The manager Terrance was outgoing and tried to be accommodating. He said there were candles on the table but they kept going out from the air flow so they removed them. Our server, Conner was very nice. All food that was ordered by our party of 6 was good. However the snack/ appetizers were very small. Definitely not sharable as suggested. It was also disappointing that not one but two of the menu items we ordered were unavailable including the catch of the day. Seeing that two people wanted the same thing, this made for a 50% failure rate for us. There is no offer of bread, or fresh crushed pepper for salad. Our dining experience seemed to drag on. The snacks were ordered as part of a meal so this was not a course. It took two hours for salad, main and desert. All in all the food was good, but we will probably dine elsewhere in the future."
"I made reservations 2 weeks in advance for a birthday brunch 9/24/23. I did so through open table due to the phones ringing busy 3 days in a row. It also states you have to call for a party larger than 6. I had to message them requesting a party of 8. I also informed them that we would prefer not to sit at a high top due to guests medical disabilities/ activities limitation. Upon arriving I was informed they can not accommodate that, any party above 6 has to be seated at a high top or sit at separate tables. Our reservation was for 12:00pm. Upon arrival I was informed that all guest must be present to be seated. We were waiting on 2 to arrive. We got seated around 12:23, the table was not yet set up for dining. The other tables had plates, glasses, napkins, and silverware prepped. A gentleman brought us water. The water smelled like fish. Nobody drank their water due to this. We placed an order for alcohol beverages. About 10 minutes had passed and then we placed our brunch order. Our drinks had yet to arrive at this point. Our server did state their was only one bartender, but drinks shouldn’t take too much longer. At this point there were only 3 other tables dining. My drink and 2 others come out. The serves states the bartender was still making the rest of the order. About 2-3 minutes later our food comes out and the chicken and waffles and cinnamon roll pancakes were amazing! We requested silverware, napkins, extra plates because they had yet to be brought over. The server handed the silverware to us and asked us to pass them down because the table was already supposed to be set up prior to being seated. The rest of the group requested to cancel their drink order since they never arrived. The server walks over to the bar and says they are ready now. It was about 1:20 by time all drinks arrived. Nearly an hour after being placed. Our server stated she already informed her manager of the issue. She reported she also asked for help and it was not being provided. She also informed us she is 19 years old and has been working there 2 weeks. Halfway through our meal the manager comes over briefly, doesn’t introduce himself, and doesn’t acknowledge the issue the server had already informed him about. He walked away. I asked the server if she in fact told him there was an issue with the service, she said yes and that because we didn’t request to speak to him directly and make a formal complaint that he assumed everything was okay. So the entire table requested to speak to him, again. He came to the table and said just that!! We then said the drinks came extremely late. He also said “when drinks take that long, they are being made with love”. We then stated we didn’t even have an opportunity to order another drink, and he with a straight face said “why not”. We said, because it would take another 45 minutes. He then followed up with “it gives us more time to hangout with you ladies” This manager, Maher, was extremely unprofessional. He never apologized or truly acknowledged the issue. He said “let me see what we can do to make this better, but with alcohol, we don’t like to discount or comp that”. We were NOT asking for a discount, we simply wanted him to acknowledge the terrible service. He never did! In fact, we could see him and the bartender chatting and pointing at our table. By this time, we are the only people seated except for 1 other table of 2. Our server then informed us that the bartender is saying she never took that long and she doesn’t know what we are talking about. The young lady was so upset at this point. She said she was being blamed for the whole thing. Then it took the server and manager over 45 minutes to get the bills. We sat their just waiting. The server checked in with us to inform us the system kept crashing. The manager took of $10 for each person who ordered a drink. This was nice and appreciated. Again, this was not our goal or focus. We simply wanted the manager to acknowledge the terrible service. At 2:20 we finally left. The food was great, however, the experience was awful."
"Duck fat fries and caramelized pork belly - worth every cent spent. Loved both of the dishes and as a snack big portion , so having both I was already full. Service was pleasant and helpful. Had ok variety of beers - had two local draft IPAs, enjoyed both. All in all - really worth the visit."
"We had a party of 13 attending Chef's Table Series: A Celebration of Love. Menu posted below, along with a few dinner pics. Dinner reservations ran a little late, but that didn't put a damper on the evening. Our wait staff were attentive, accommodating, pleasant & provided a great upscale dining experience. The ambiance was romantic & fun. The food was amazing! A 7 course dinner with a variety of foods to address anyone's dining palate. What a wonderfully fun & delicious dining experience! Each course perfectly paired with an adult drink. Chef Mike came out to tell us about each course. He was polite, addressed questions, but he was definitely kept busy that evening. My only complaint for the evening was the walleye dish was not hot. Mine & a couple of other's fish were more cold than warm. I was disappointed because it was tasty until I got to the cold part. To their defense they offered to remake each of ours. We declined because everyone else was already finishing up their course. Just didn't want to be the cause of further delay. Otherwise I cannot wait to have dinner there again. Definitely worth a second visit."
