"New Year’s Eve was yesterday, and my first time eating here. Not only did they seats within 10 minutes for a group of 7 they were amazing! Food was great along with everything else! Thank you for having my family. The rotisserie chicken was amazing! The steak was huge and amazing. The rest of my family loved their food too, I only tasted my husband’s and my own! But everyone was very pleased."

"I haven’t had J Alexander in a while so we decided to do an impromptu date night and was not disappointed. The veggie burgers taste the same every trip. The Amaretto Sour was really good and spinach dip as well. The one thing I would have to say negative is the complimentary bread that is being served should stay on the shelf. They switched breads and is now serving some sort of slice dry bread that falls in category of stale light rye bread off the shelf at Kroger's or something. J Alexander you are too fancy to be serving that dry disgusting bread!"

"First time here. Food was THE BEST. SERVICE WAS THE BEST. I got the Filet Mignon with a Loaded Baked Potato. Our waitress was Brooke and she really made our first visit a pleasure. If you visit ask for her you will not regret it. Love this place and will be going back."

"Walked in and we were seated almost immediately. Atmosphere was very nice, the service was phenomenal. I ordered the Maui ribeye and my wife ordered the rotisserie chicken. My wife said the chicken was very good, and the smash potatoes were nicely done as well. The martini she ordered was a little stronger than she would have liked, but she dosnt drink that often so she isn't really used to stronger drinks. I was disappointed with the ribeye. The crust wasn't so much a crust as it was more of a char, it was a little over cooked for medium rare but still rare enough that I was fine with it. The problem came with the marinade, it was overly sweet and extremely overpowering. The entire meal I couldn't taste anything but the marinade. I was also disappointed for the price that all you get is meat and potatoes. We spent $100 and it didn't even come with a vegetable. All in all the food was ok, but I dont think we will be returning as we didn't find it worth the price."

"I visited 7 years ago and again this week. The carrot cake is still my favorite of any restaurant. Aside from that, the French dip sandwich and smashed potatoes were to die for. The service was excellent and the staff are clearly well trained and very good at their jobs. 100% will be back when I’m next in Toledo. My only complain was the darkness, great for a quiet date night, but there was also more heat coming from the lamp over my head than there was light."
