"Nothing , two days and driving over 100 miles and still don't have a hitch"

"The hitch wire was never installed due to U-Hauls lack of basic communication. For context/update: I had scheduled the hitch wire installation online and paid in advance of the appointment. When I arrived (and drove an hour each way) they told me they didn't have a hitch mechanic and that my card would be refunded in 3-5 business days. I called on the 5th business day which was a Friday because the refund hadn't posted yet. The office said to give it until Monday, by Tuesday it still hadn't posted. Realizing I had been scammed, I filed a dispute with my credit card. My credit card co. gave me a temporary credit and gave them like a month to respond. The case finally closed in my favor July 24th. I had my hitch wire successfully installed elsewhere."

"Total incompetence. Both store and corporate. Wrong wiring harness delivered. Was told re order with 2 day express ship. Called after a week and mechanic not there. Called next day mechanics day off. 12 days later store won't answer phone. Corporate busy and gives me a call back but no human immediately put on hold for 2 minutes. Finally get through to the store and they can't find my info in their system. Mechanic puts me on hold for several mins and returns to say he found my part. Rescheduled to finish. Why was I not contacted when the part came in but I had to take initiative to complete their job. Spent 35 yrs HVAC dealing with customers and I can safely say this is NOT how it's done"

"I was told they would not order the hitch unless I paid $189. in advance. I gave them the credit card and assumed the charge had been made as they said it was required. I ask for a receipt of payment for $189. but they gave me the total of $600 and said the $189 would be deducted at the end. For several days this concerned me and when I returned they charged the total amount. I told them I had already paid, wanted a manager and was not pleased. When I checked my account the $189 had not been charged. What would be good business would be to state the TRUTH - we need a credit card on file to start the work. NOT the lie that you are making a charge when you are not. A lot of frustration and worry for no reason other than a false statement on U-Haul's part."

"It didn't happen. The appointment was made. I arrived to find that an installer was not available and was forced to leave my vehicle. I was later called to say that the installation wouldn't be done due to rust. I picked up my vehicle after my time was wasted and I still don't have a hitch. Now, I'm awaiting a full refund."
