"I have always had excellent service and very kind people help me with any of my banking questions. They greet everyone with a kind "hello "how are you today! I appreciate there are always plenty of tellers to attend to the customers and I am not standing out in the hot sun for 35 minutes to enter their bank ever due to few people in a bank to help us customers which I constantly encounter at a bank in Haines City by a totally different name!!! They even greet me by my first name! I have no relative or friend that works at their bank, but, their service has always been top notch for me!!!"

"It's not fair that when they merged with CenterState Bank that the reviews from CenterState Bank stayed on. This new bank is an absolute joke. Over the years I have closed many manufactured home loans with CenterState Bank. Never had an issue. Great service. South State is an absolute joke. They've delayed our closing multiple times even after they were the ones who gave us a closing date! Horrible communication! STAY AWAY until they get their act together! I do not write negative reviews often because I know it affects peoples businesses, but if you trust South State with your clients and your business, prepare to be embarrassed."

"Went in to deposit money in my ten-year-old bank account and was told the Bank closed her account due to non usage in over a yearThey then explained that they've kept all of her money that we deposited over $100. I asked to speak to a manager and someone came over and said well you signed the contract when you open the account and we have the right to take your money I explained it is a Minor's birthday money and ask for a credit which was refused. The manager if that was a manager I'm not sure was very cold and Unapologetic we will not be returning and our neighbor have closed their account based on what had occurred. I could not believe the poor customer service and nasty attitude"

"Worse place ever, you call them tell them you want overdraft protection , they tell you it's on your account but ever time your account is over draft they charge you, and when you call again they tell you , you never had it....after the girl that answered the phone told you , you do have it.... Davenport office is the worse they need training on how to work their system."
