"I am writing this review because of another review I saw that reflected our experience a number of years ago. My husband went to Magpies to purchase a peridot, topaz and diamond ring for my birthday. He surprised me with it. Later that day, I was on their website and saw the same ring but for over $100 less. When my husband contacted them, their only response was “Oh, sometimes we forget to update our prices.” Really????? No offer to return the overage we paid, no offer of anything. We always try to support local businesses, but we never went back again. Very poor customer service."

"If I could give 0 stars I would! My family and I go to Destin every year for family vacation, and this had always been a place we would visit and buy from. Last August 2017 my mother purchased an almost 400$ ring from here as a Christmas gift for me. On Christmas (an hour after I put it on) a prong had broken off and the opal was gone. I messaged this page twice , and had no response. This July we went and visited the shop on our vacation WITH the receipt, broken ring, and proof of Facebook messages. They refused us a refund, replacement, or store credit ( they had the EXACT same ring in their show case.) They told us the only thing they could do was we could buy a new opal from them , and then pay the shipping and handling. Absolutely appalling response from a “fine” jewelry boutique. You have lost our service for life."
