"I went in on 10/19 to pay for my mailbox key, $35, and was told that it would take a few days and they would call me when it was available for pickup. On 10/25 I went again to the post office to check on the status, and the girl working there found my card requesting the key was still in a box, she also mentioned that the guy who had me fill out the card never gives them to the person in charge of getting the keys. She said it would only be a few days before my key was in. I went to the post office today, 10/30 and now my card isn't there anymore, and thankfully I still had the receipt to prove I'd paid. I told the guy that I'm expecting my new debit card and needed my key seeing as it has now been 11 DAYS since I paid for it. The post master now made her appearance saying that it depends on whether she's there and whether she's in pain. So basically the person who runs the post office is never there and if she can't perform her job due to pain she should retire and get disability. This is not my problem, I clean two houses a day in pain, most people have aches and pains and go to work every day. Umatilla is a really small community, you would think it would have great service like most small towns. Apparently it's just a government business that typically promotes people one level higher than their capabilities."

"Jim needs to be fired, I've been there 4-5 times in 3 months because they refuse to deliver packages/daily mail correctly. Every time you go in there he makes people feel stupid and that its your fault your mail didn't get to you. I haven't received mail in 3 weeks but girlfriend gets her mail regularly. Someone tried sending me a gift for my birthday, about two weeks later, it was back in the senders mailbox as NMR (No Mail Receptacle) The best he could do was take my name and number after I left work to go deal with them because Jim hears the phone ringing and takes it off the hook."

"I moved on 7/29 and put in a change of address then why in God’s name is my mail still sitting at the post office saying “No forwarded address “? I don’t think they even bother to look in the system to see if I had put in one! This is why the USPS is going bankrupt!! Lousy customer service!"

"Zero stars should be an option! This is the worst USPS office I have ever had to deal with. Here's my grievances: 1. The office never picks up the phone. 2. Incorrect mail delivery is very common. Be prepared to deliver your neighbor's mail to them, and hopefully your neighbor would kindly do the same to yours. 3. Constantly lying about non-delivery reason like no access to driveway, delivery attempted, delivery on hold due to customer's request, Blah! Blah! Blah! 4. Inconsistent modes of delivery. You'll have one street with mailboxes in front of their residence and the next street with cluster single mailboxes. It's unfair that some people seemed to have convenient service and others don't. 5. When you show up at the office for lost mail or package , the staff seems clueless of where it's at. I could list more but what's the point? It's never going to change. The only solution to this is to just live with it I guess! JUST HOPELESS!"

"By far the worst experience of my life. I am new to the area and my first experience in the town was with this post office. Neighbors have mailboxes, so I put one up. When I went to the post office to ensure I would get mail delivered, I was treated so poorly by the supposed post master Natalie. She literally walked away from me because she could not answer to me why I had to use a cluster mailbox, but yet my neighbors have mailboxes and mail is delivered to them. I was literally told they would call the police to escort me off the property just so they did not have to deal with my issue. I plan to file a complain with the inspector generals office, the local town hall and the governor's office. No one should ever be treated so poorly as I was. Had I received the answer I do not know, but I can get you to someone who does, I would have been perfectly fine with that. But when I asked the 800 number and even called ahead to the local post office and was told if I fill a specific form out, it would be no issue. I even researched online that as long as your address is recognized by the USPS, mail can be delivered to your home. But being met with Natalie having no answer for me or why my neighbors receive mail is the worst!"
