"Do not send your loved ones here, unless you want them to die from negligent care. I only gave one star because I am generous. They were directed to give my mother a certain medication. If her blood pressure reached a certain number. They neglected to give her the medication when her blood pressure reached that point! she could have had a stroke! Secondly, we went to this rehab center on the premise that they would be giving her Physical therapy every weekday. After seven days there, physical therapy only came twice. Stay away from this place!! My mother gets out this week. If we have any more instances between now and then, I will be calling my attorney."

"My mom was sent to Ruleme for rehab in late January 2023. Her first rehab was horrendous! Do not judge a book by its cover. Although this place is an older building and may not be a modern facility, the care that my mom received was outstanding! I loved all the nurses and they took very good care of my mom. All of her nurses took the time to explain her care and if they had any concerns they would always reach out to us. They were also very patient with us and answered all of our questions. My mom had a bedsore from her previous rehab facility (who denied that she had a bedsore until she was admitted into the hospital before being placed at Ruleme) and the staff at Ruleme kept us updated with the progress of the healing. At the end of March my mom was hospitalized again for a UTI and it was discovered that her body was not processing her fluids (she was on a feeding tube) so her stomach was becoming bloated and causing her a lot of pain. The doctors said that her organs were starting to shut down and they recommended we put her on Hospice. After much thought and conversations with the Hospice staff about our concerns, we decided it was best to keep my mom comfortable and pain-free. She entered Hospice care in mid-April and unfortunately passed in early May. Even though she was on Hospice care and her Hospice nurses were primarily responsible for her medications, the staff at Ruleme also kept us up-to-date on my mom's care and answered all of our questions. My mom's Hospice nurse, Valerie, was also amazing! She would call me after each visit with an update and kept me well informed. My mom was in what they call the Northbrook side of the facility and all of her nurses were amazing but especially Brittany and Kathy. They always took the time to talk to me and Kathy was super sweet and compassionate since she was also dealing with a similar situation in her own family. I would definitely recommend this facility for your loved ones. My only suggestion is that if your loved one is going into facility, make sure to label all of their clothes. I bought personalized iron-on labels from Amazon and put the labels on a few of her items but unfortunately there was still some pieces of clothing that went missing because her name was put on with marker and it washed off over time."

"The staff was more than helpful. They truly cared for my father and showed him compassion. The facility is clean and well maintained and well organized. I am thankful that my father got to stay here."

"The staff is courteous and the rooms are clean. At times the nurses aren't answering the call buttons to my brother's room on a timely manner, but I do understand they get busy and will have more pressing jobs to take care of. Overall I feel that Ruleme is efficient and treats their patients with respect."
