"Staff are excellent. Purchased a gift card/certificate over phone for my parents recently without any issue, and staff were very helpful. My folks are looking forward to play a round of golf at Deer Island as they have been there before and said it's a great course."

"Great course, fairways and greens are in great shape. Keep your eyes open as there is a lot of wildlife roaming around. This would have been 5 stars but the driving range could be better."

"Zero stars if I could! Owner, Wally, treats his customers like trash and acts like a jerk if you have questions, even responding to questions with sarcasm. Went to play at this course for the first time because we have family who live on Deer Island and while booking just asked some initial questions, and the owner was so rude it was shocking! Very arrogant and unprofessional behavior. Don’t know how you can run a business with no people skills. Deer Island looks beautiful, but the owner makes it so ugly out here! Other golfers didn’t play a real game of golf and pushed to go faster. It was not enjoyable at all. Spend your time and money elsewhere, you’ll be glad you did!"

"What a gem. Seriously my favorite course I have ever played in Florida and I have played quite a few courses in the Orlando area over the years. Beautiful, memorable and interesting holes. Views of the lake, water on Almost every hole but not in a punitive way. Just visually awesome. Also got a great deal with Golf Now at a $45 rate. Course conditions were excellent. Lush fairways and tee boxes. Greens rolled true. We played on a Monday with one of the first tee times and finished in under 3 hours. Pro shop staff and wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Left my wallet behind and they tracked me down and found my phone number so that I could retrieve. Cannot say enough nice things about this place. Wellllll worth the drive if your are in the Orlando Area and looking for a great Golf course and experience."

"We have played this course several times over the last 8 years. The course itself was always very average at best but the wildlife was entertaining. This year the course was beautiful and kudos to the new owner for the amazing makeover! Staff was very friendly, bathrooms nice and clean. We hope to be back in February!"
