"It was truly one of the greatest experiences of my life. I had the opportunity to visit Puerto Rico as a Florida Tech student through Beyond the Map. All amenities were taken care of before we arrived in Puerto Rico, and they were phenomenal. Our tour guide, Pay, was extremely welcoming and helped all of us get adjusted to living somewhere new. We volunteered on a local farm and became close with the family. After a long day of working, we traveled to hidden rivers and spent some time embracing the beauty of the island. Volunteering with the family was extremely rewarding, and they were amazing hosts to us. On the last full day of our trip, Beyond the Map arranged for us to experience the jungle by ziplining, repelling, caving, swimming, and climbing up a mountain. This trip took us to the center of the island's culture and allowed us to experience Puerto Rico as a local. It was an incredible experience, and I hope to participate in another trip with Beyond the Map soon."
