"Despite my very last minute planning (Oct for a Xmas trip), David and the Discover Scandinavia team were able to make our trip to Norway happen (we only missed one city because all the flights were booked). And everything was planned perfectly. From the hotels (we chose “one level” down and they were all fantastic and included awesome breakfast buffets), to the transportation (personal greeting and transport at all the important points), to the activities (including train journeys, personal guided tours, and snow activities), everything was excellently planned and smooth. They even kept trying when the Snow Hotel was booked up and managed to find us an opening so we didn’t miss getting a night in the Ice Room. When we did have a few hiccups (due to travel delays outside anyone’s control….except the airlines), Victoria back in the US was super responsive and did all she could to help and rebook hotels and transport. I took a risk using a company I knew nothing about that I found using a google search and it paid off!! I highly recommend!"

"My husband and I, along with 4 other couples, just returned from a 7- day, private Luxe Winter Tour of Iceland (Oct 23-30). DST handled every detail for us…all we had to do was book our flights! We were met at the airport in Keflavik and whisked to our hotel in Reykjavik, a scenic 45 minute drive. The hotels we stayed at were 4-star…3 nights in Reykjavik, 2 in Husafell and 2 in Hella. Each hotel had its own charm and were so comfortable. The individual tour guides for the itinerary that DST planned for us were personable and knowledgeable. We soaked in 3 different thermal pools throughout the country, went on 2 evening quests for the Northern Lights (and saw them!), saw spectacular waterfalls, hiked into a Lava Cave and traversed the side of a glacier to reach the Secret Ice Caves. We had plenty of “down time” to explore on our own as well as relax. The food in Iceland is delicious…especially the fish and lamb. There is a plethora of restaurants in Reykjavik to choose from, all within a short walking distance from our hotel. Husafell and Hella are a bit more remote but the hotel restaurants were top notch. The buffet breakfasts (included in our tour package) offered a wide variety of options…sausage, bacon, smoked salmon, eggs, breads, fruits, coffee, juices. A great way to start each day of exploring this beautiful and pristine country. If Iceland is on your “bucket list” (it truly is a must-see!) I highly recommend that you contact Discover Scandinavia Tours. They offer small group tours (12 people max) on scheduled dates or consider their private tour, if you want more flexibility in your travel dates and want to experience Iceland with family and/or friends. "All of the cities visited were fascinating. The weather was raining, windy and miserable. Despite the weather, there were many positives. The ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo was much nicer than expected. Walking on the roof of the Opera House in Oslo was especially fun, coming upon a group of dancers rehearsing with a leader. Everyone was pleasant and spoke English."
