"Captain Ted was personable, knowledgeable, and a great teacher (had me casting nearly perfectly with my non-dominant hand by the end of the day). He took us to several locations so we got to see much of the Everglades National Park. When the fish weren’t biting at a spot, he happily suggested we try another of his spots. We also saw dolphins and it was magical! We ended up catching more fish than we could count by the end of the trip. We could not have had a more special day and hope to be back soon. "First off, I wanted to mention Captain Ted Benbow. He was maybe the 4th or 5th person I contacted, and he was definitely the most helpful. He asked what types of fishing we wanted to do, asked about special requests, etc. He also recommended Capt Haden for our offshore trip. Tuesday April 13 – Met up with Capt Ted at the marina and off we went. We headed to the Everglades and once we arrived, he was very helpful explaining how we were fishing and what we were fishing for. We caught multiple species, saw a lot of beautiful scenery and had a great day in the back country. Wednesday April 14 – Met up with Capt Donnie Benbow and he explained that we were targeted big Tarpon which was something we specifically wanted to do. We headed off and after a short trip we were in an area near the southern part of Islamorada. We put out some lines and within a short period of time we caught a good-sized Jack Crevalle. The winds were pretty bad, so we moved to another spot and fished for a while and finally hooked onto a good-sized Tarpon and that is when the fun began. Fishing was a little slow because of the wind and the rough seas but it was a great day on the water. I highly recommend both Captains and will definitely book with them again!"

"My 14 yr old and I went fishing with Captain Ted today, we had the time our life.. He taught my son everything from safety to fishing. He knew exactly where the fish were going to be in a cold front like today. Everything he said leading up to the trip was 100% true and accurate. All day long we caught fish one after another, it got to the point where we had to head back because we were exhausted. Captain Ted even got us onto a 100 + lb Tarpon, which is completely out of season now. It was a 45 minute battle none us will ever forget. I recommend Captain Ted to anyone who wants go fishing with a local experienced fisherman that knows the waters and really wants to catch a lot of fish.
