"Do not purchase a vacation package from World Wide Vacations. This is not because of their resorts, most of them are wonderful. It's because they scam you into purchasing an upgrade that doesn't exist. I purchased a package from them and they sold me an upgrade to an Elite Platinum status for an extra $700. I was told that this would allow me to take a low pressure 30 minute "golf cart" tour of each resort instead of the 90-120 minute timeshare presentation. I have owned timeshares in the past and do not wish to own another so I have no interest in attending the long high-pressure sales pitch no matter how cheap the vacation is. When I booked my resort stay I was told that there was no such thing and that the person who sold me the vacation scammed me. When I called World Wide Vacations back to ask about this they gave me the run around and said they would look into it. I never heard back. When I called back I was told that yes, it is a "golf Cart" tour but not 30 minutes. This lady said she would speak to a supervisor and get back to me. She never called back. When I called again I was told the same thing. I asked them to please review the recording of my phone conversation where I purchased my vacation package because it is very clear what was told to me. I have never heard back from them. This company lies to get you to pay more. I guess I was an idiot to believe what was being told to me."
