"My experience is with Elena Stazhkova of Vera Realty Llc. This woman is a con artist and I WISH I taken my time to do my research on her before entering in any agreement at her Hollywood property. I began renting from her in May 27th 2020 at the start of the pandemic. Based on her responsiveness, I should've known her and her designated management team would've dishonest landlords. For anyone reading this, if you are signing any landlord/tenant agreement forms with her, be sure she provides you with an address on the lease for you to forward any and all certified letters. She's holding me accountable for sending her notices via certified mail but 1) her lease specifically indicates that ALL notices be communicated to her email address and be sent to her only and, 2) Again, I'm emphasizing this, The Woman Maliciously Omits a mailing address on the lease agreement and has the audacity to claim that my not sending her a certified letter is why she won’t return my deposit. What's worst; after I did manage to find an address to send the official certified letter she keeps requesting, she won’t open the mail. She won't accept the document (which is why I was hoping to conclude the matter via email) to claim of not having any knowledge of notices, to further justify her stealing my deposit (I'm talking about $2,400.00). She and her management team do a terrible job maintaining the property unit (I lived there for 10 months with a broken window. She ignored my request for updates for the first 6 months I lived there, and delayed payment to the window repair staff which delayed when they would come to the property to fix the broken unit. My lease ended on May 26th, the installment for the windows did not come in until the morning of May 7th. It was the day the installers mistakenly called me because they thought I was the receiving tenant). The image I've included is of a lizard coming through the cracked window. Countless rodents and animals kept coming through the house because of both, the broken windows as well as her reluctance to install a proper screen to prevent animals from coming into the house. Even if she was having the windows repairs, I couldn't understand why it took over 10 months for her to send someone to the property to install the screen. I cannot emphasize enough how much of a con artist and cruel human being this woman is. AVOID doing business with her at all costs. **Edit, please note the company's response. I detailed my experience with the realtor and advised people to be careful, thoroughly read any agreements she serves them and the company seems to be in defense of her actions. I cannot emphasize enough, PLEASE be care when doing business with Elena or this company for that matter. *July 4th 2023, they still won’t give me back my money despite being terrible landlords and not maintaining a habitable property."
