"The tech came out on time and was professional was told we would have an estimate the next day. Well we did not get an estimate the next day my husband called was told they were in meeting all day and would have the estimate Thursday 7\9/20 well they did not call husband called again another story on getting parts from manufacturer difficult. We only want an estimate right now so we can make an educated dission on repair or purchase new. I will not recommend this company ever"

"We've been using MD Appliance for a few years. They came out to service our washer on 3/30/20. They ordered a part a couple days later. We didn't hear back from them that week. We called on 4/6/20 and got their answering machine that said they will be closed for 30 days due to the state COVID guidelines. That means I couldn't use my washer for 30 days. They said they were considered nonessential. Out of desperation I called other appliance places to see if they happen to be open and all 3 other places I called were opened. They told me that appliance repair is an essential business. So I had to pay an additional $154 for service calls when 2 other companies came out. They called today 4/30 to schedule them coming back to replace the part. I mentioned all the above and when I said to the lady about not calling their customers before they closed, she said they couldn't call all 500 customers. I understand that but I'm sure they don't have 500 customers waiting for them to service their appliances. They should only call customers like me who has a pending service order not all 500 customers they just have on file that has services performed through them in the past. The reason I say this is because they were rather quick calling me back today. If they had to call 500 customers I'm sure I wouldn't get a call this soon considering they just opened back up. Even their service man that came out the first time said the office should have called their customers to let them know they are closed. Luckily I found someone to fix my washer on 4/7. We will use him again and refer him to others. MD Appliance Services cause me a great deal of inconvenience and money and we will most likely not use them or refer them again."

"Pretty much the same complaints as others. Constant cancel appointments from Michael. Finally other guy (not Michael) came out and order parts. When the parts came to install, more cancel appointments from Michael. Michael came over, was nice to my husband and install part. He said we need to install another part. Again, many cancel appointments by Michael. He finally came over and insult my home, my kids and me plus he was throwing ice around my kitchen, completely a differently attitude towards me than my husband when I was present both times. If we know he would be a douchebag while my husband was not home, we would had the second parts put in by another company. This all took about 5 months to finally fix a family with 2 small children's refrigerator."

"MD Appliance did an excellent job of repairing my refrigerator in a timely manner. The tech was polite and knowledgeable and arrived on time. The problem was the defrost not working allowing the freezer to warm up. He looked at the refrigerator from the front and the back and did some testing with his diagnostic equipment. He determined the heater was bad. He had one on his truck and replaced it and defrosted the freezer and it has been working fine ever since. MD had been recommended by a friend who also had a good experience. Contrast MD with Sears who I called first. The scheduler’s priority was to sell me a warranty policy for all my appliances for $600 rather than just schedule an appointment. I declined and scheduled an appointment. The tech showed up late. He opens the freezer door and says yep not defrosting. That was the end of the trouble shooting. He then went to his computer and produced an estimate - $421.93. He said it was EITHER the heater or the thermostat and best to replace both. I questioned the cost thinking the parts were expensive. Not so. Labor for what turned out to be a 30 minute job was $319.93. But I could cut that in half if I bought the $600 warranty policy which seemed to be the main focus of the tech’s interest. I declined but the service call cost me $105. No wonder Sears is going under. But it gets better. I stopped by “Norm’s Appliances” or “Best Used Appliances” and scheduled an appointment. The tech never showed. I called and they said they forgot. Rescheduled. Tech showed up late. He too quickly determined what was already known - defrost not working. He opens up the back of the refrigerator to trouble shoot. He’s checking the circuit board by crossing electrodes or whatever looking for sparks. I’m thinking what about shorting the board out!! He determines that the heater is bad but says the thermostat is also bad. He has no parts. Will call the next day with price. Five days go by with nothing. Call the office. Don’t know what happened - will have the tech call. No call. Call the office again and told them they obviously weren’t interested in fixing my refrigerator and I was going elsewhere. The lady pleasantly said OK have a nice day. Could have cared less. Oh and I paid $65 for the service call."
