"When I called to make an appointment I was lucky enough to reach the Dr.. He was patient kind understanding and gave advice as to how to treat the problem before we even made the appointment. I have extreme confidence in this office without even stepping foot into the building just based on my conversation and time that it took to explain things to me. He didn’t rush me off the phone and we came up with a very conservative treatment to try before coming into the office. This speaks volume in a world where doctors are just trying to make money rather than helping their patients. I am switching practices because of the amazing treatment that I received so far. With all the Pandemic issues the office being super busy the staff was very professional and helpful in finding an opening for her to come to the office. Trina had a crown that loosened and fallen out . Dr Shiffman was very patient and personable and after taking X-rays was able to replace the tooth. She was extremely impressed with all the effort that the staff and office had put in place to protect patients and themselves from infection. I had my first filling in almost 40 years and it was done without Novocaine and I felt nothing, Not only is Dr. Shiffman awesome is staff is equally as amazing. "Dr. Shiffman is a great Dentist. He is great with patients. I found him to be very pleasant. His office staff, on the other hand, is the reason I am giving 1 star. I was told by them that they were a participating provider of my insurances, and since I had two insurances that covered Dental, they would submit to the primary and then to the secondary. Here is the problem: They were NOT participating providers of my primary insurance, only the secondary, which has now caused a problem for me, but results in more money for them. Misleading patients is unacceptable, and although Dr. Shiffman is a nice doctor, the behavior of his staff reflects badly on him. My advice to anyone who uses this office: Please don't rely on anything his office staff tells you. Call your insurance company. After talking to my insurance company, they said this is a growing problem with providers who tell the members they are participating, when in fact they aren't. BEWARE!!"
