"I would have given this 5 stars except for one drawback: the VERY cold temperature of the whole office--including the room where my root canal procedure took place. The Dr. himself--Dr. Mark Goldberg was "Wonderful"--as Gayla of his office staff had told me he Would be. His chairside manner, cheerful energy & technical skill was all Wonderful. He had a lot of buoyant, animated energy--including a "booming" voice--which was "a bit much" for my earliness in the day--given that my appt. was for 9:30 a.m. & I'd only been Up for 2 hrs. & not a lot of sleep for 2 nites prior as I pushed myself to get supportive things done so that I could be ready for whatever the experience would bring me. When I mentioned to Dr. Goldberg that "all my senses are very acute" & asked him to modulate his voice somewhat, he was considerate & did so. I appreciated this, as well as his congenial manner. Thereafter; his able Dental Assistant, Kentrell Williams & he bantered in modulated tones as the procedure went on. I told Mr. Williams afterward that I "marveled" at how "easily" they both talked with one another & how "polite" Dr. Goldberg was in thanking Williams for Each instrument he handed the doctor. [Williams had told me prior to Dr. Goldberg coming in, as he was preparing me for the procedure, that he had known Dr. Goldberg for 13 yrs. & worked with him a lot of that time. It "showed" in the easy way they bantered as people do when they're familiar & harmonious with one another. The subjects were not things I particularly cared about (like football); however, the manner, tone & voice volume in which they talked about them was naturally soothing. Dr. Goldberg assured me repeatedly with telling me I was doing "perfectly" & what to expect at different junctures like "You're going to feel some pressure now for a little bit," etc. His whole manner & the confident, skilled, efficient way he worked was assuring to me of his competence & experience with root canals.] In fact; Williams told me Dr. Goldberg had been a practicing endodontist for 22 years. Now; regarding the temperature of the room & offices in general: I had worn to the appt. what I thought would be attire that would be warm enough--knowing A/C'd offices, restaurants, theaters & the like--Any indoor space--can be cold. [Since I tend to get cold easily--being around 100# with little fat to cushion me & not being "muscle-bound"---as well as having just turned 76 yrs. of age, I wore comfortable long, cotton pants, a cotton T-Shirt & had a flannel, long-sleeved shirt with me. I used the flannel shirt to keep my hands warm in my lap--& to comfort me emotionally with its soft fabric.] However; by the time the procedure was over, I was SOoooo cold that I was actually shivering/shaking almost to the point of my teeth chattering. I could not WAIT to get OUT OF that Room! The dental assistant trainee, Adina, who had been with us the whole time in the procedure room assisted me to the restroom & then she sat in the waiting room with me while I was getting some of my "bearings" back before I attempted to deal with the business of checking out. She was very solicitous & compassionate. I told the office staff how COLD I was--& they all agreed it was "extra cold"--as evidenced by the way they were dressed. I told the office staff that it shouldn't HAVE to be THIS cold--even allowing for a certain amt. of coldness necessary to keep down bacteria. They said that the temperature is set by the building management. I said then that someone in authority--maybe the Dr. himself--or someone he designates--needs to have a TALK with the building management to get the temperature warmer or more customized per office. (The office is in a large office complex & not All of the businesses are medical--so "one temperature doesn't fit All purposes.") "This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at an office, ever. From the moment I walked in I was shown warm smiles. I was there for my first root canal so I wasn’t fully at peace but they were so kind all fear left. Even as they were doing the procedure it was one of the best services I’ve gotten. Both the doctor and the assistants were so kind and made things as light hearted as possible. I went home and have 0 pain from the work they did. I would 1000% recommend this office to anyone who could use their services."

"I was made to feel very comfortable. Even though I was having a root canal it seemed no different than just relaxing in my recliner at home. No pain or discomfort at all during the procedure. Big THUMBS UP !"

"Friendly staff, great doctor. Explain everything in detail. His assistant made me feel less nervous about the procedure and I felt more at ease. When Dr Goldberg step into the room I was calm and more relax. I was very happy with my appointment."
