"One star only because I can't give it zero. Daughter and son both treated here simultaneously, and both left in pain after various treatment including shaving down teeth, fillings etc. My daughter's bite (post braces) is now off. We only went to this practice after our insurance changed; and will not be going back. ....and the office staff not much better; a real mess including charges and insurance not accepting. can't say it strongly enough, do not go here."

"I have been a patient of dental care of NFM for almost 4 years now. I have gone through many procedures such as a root canal and a couple of fillings with Dr. Kate S. Dr Kate is amazing at what she does and is very patient, quick, and efficient. Special shout out to hygienist Marla, she is exceptional and very sweet. Marla takes the time to explain all procedures and what needs to be done to maintain the health of your mouth. I have recommended this dentist to all my friends and family and they all have nothing but positive comments about their care. They truly care for the well being of their patients. I have had no billing issues or bad experiences. Thank you for all you do!"

"I moved to FL late 2021 and needed to find a new dentist. I set up an appointment with Dental Care of North Fort Myers as it was “in network” for my insurance. When I called to set an appointment everything seemed fine, the receptionist was nice and professional. the problems started when I came in my for my cleaning and initial exam. First they take unnecessary x-rays. I have moved a lot in my life so I am familiar with “new patient” exams and the extent that they do is not needed and if I’m being honest not healthy. Regardless of my beliefs that’s what the dentist wants so I can’t argue with that. That is not the reason I’m and writing this review. To start the hygienist who did my cleaning was brutal on my cleaning my gums and mouth were sore for days. Never have I ever experienced a cleaning like that. She told me that I needed a Periodontal Cleaning which is for gum disease or gingivitis. I told her that I did not want that procedure because I didn’t believe I needed it. She immediately got defensive and said the highly recommended this procedure and when I said no again she said “Okay so you’re going to deny this treatment that is recommended to you…I need you to confirm so I can put this in your file”. By her reaction and the pressure for the procedure my assumption is the hygienist gets a kick back if they perform the procedure, but I can’t confirm this. After visiting with the dentist she claimed I need teeth pulled. I was skeptical and called my previous dentist from California. At this time I was wearing aligners and she confirmed it wouldn’t be a bad idea. But said there was absolutely no way I needed the periodontal cleaning, as my mouth hygiene is very good and I get cleanings regularly. So I went ahead with the procedure of getting teeth pulled. I called the billing department twice to have them contact my insurance company to have an accurate number of my out of pocket expense when I arrived for my appointment. She confirmed the same number twice. The day of my appointment all the sudden it was going to cost an extra $300. The dentist numbed me before I signed all papers to get started. The procedure sheet had the wrong tooth numbers of what was being pulled. When I told the dentist that it was incorrect they fixed it and said it would still be the price they had previously confirmed twice. She was adamant that we move forward and I wasn’t going to get an additional bill. Borderline rude and again more pressure. It took over a year for their billing department to contact my insurance company about the extra costs. I’d call and months would go by, I’d call my insurance and they’d tell me they still needed to hear from my dentist office. It was a complete nightmare a very miserable experience. Not professional at all. The most recent billing person I spoke with today actually contacted my insurance immediately and we were able to resolve the issue in less then an hour so good job to her. However, she said “you don’t have to pay it” and I said yes I do otherwise you’ll send it to collections. She said yes we would but I can’t force you to do anything. Unreal, no billing person should be giving this advice it should be you owe X you can pay today or we can set up a billing plan. This office I guarantee you will try to get you to do “preventative” or unnecessary work so they can run your bill up. DO NOT GO HERE! Definitely do not recommend! I found another dentist in town who is exceptional compared to Dental Care of N FM! Such a shame I feel the need to write this review, but if I can save you from the headache and frustration that I went through then it’s worth it."

"Soon as I walked in the door I knew this was gonna be my long term dentist. Warm greetings from both receptionists. For the first time I was asked what teeth were my biggest concern, wasn’t pushed to fix an area that was the most expensive to fix. Wasn’t rushed through my visit like with prior dentist I’ve been to. Everything that was done was explained thoroughly before and after. Had my teeth cleaned the next day, Taylor was super gentle and very thorough with the cleaning. 5 stars for this office and everyone who works there. Happy I found a long term dentist."
