"I have been going to Brent for a few years now. I am a CPA myself but I do not do taxes. I hunted him down for two reasons. First, the tax CPA I had been using was incompetent. I know because I know enough to ask the right questions and know when the answers don't add up. Second, I needed to do a 1031 exchange. This is a complicated transaction that you need an experienced and knowledgable CPA for. I interviewed at least 3 prior to meeting Brent. All of them said they could do it but when I asked them how many they had done, all of the ones I interviewed replied, " none, but how hard can it be?" . My thought was well then, I suppose I don't need to pay you to do, do I . When I asked Brent the same question, he giggled and said over 50 a year!!! He giggled because to him it was the normal course of business for him. That is what I needed to hear. He handled my transaction beautifully and I have been with him ever since. And BTW, he not only handle my transaction but gave me great advice BEFORE the transaction which is what experience counts for and what we pay for!! Thanks Brent!!"

"My wife and I just met with Mr. Brent Myers today. We had been very upset with the lack of communication from our previous CPA with whom we had at least a 6-7 year relationship. We were forced to file an amended 2016 federal tax return based on our previous CPA's failure to ask us the pertinent questions when preparing our return. He also rarely returned phone calls, emails, or faxed requests for information. He is a partner of a large downtown Sarasota firm. He failed to give us critical advice and then charged nearly a double fee when his incompetence led to our need to file the amended return. Meeting with Brent Meyers today was a huge breath of fresh air. He is a total class guy, very aware and competent, and immediately understood our concerns while he examined our 2015 and 2016 returns.
