"If your company offers Lincoln for benefits DO NOT TAKE IT!! They are problematic from the start. My situation my husband had take short term disability for shoulder tear & bone spurs. Something that requires minimum of 4-6 weeks. We provided the paper work plus updated paper work after he got of surgery that he had bigger tear than they initually saw on the MRI. So the Dr fixes the tear & updates the FMLA paper work. We updated & uploaded. Now we are at risk of not getting paid because they don't know how to do a job. Don't call back after several phone calls , As well icing on the cake the customer service treat you like your dumb."

"Disappointed in the customer service. I call and spoke to a customer service rep, told them what I wanted to do the the very helpful person talked me through their process. I was encouraged to include a signed note to ensure I was clear with what I wanted. Imagine how I feel when my written directives were ignored. When I call to inquire what happened I was informed that they do not follow ANY written instructions only what is on their forms. There are too many good reasons to go elsewhere. I will be doing just that."

"This is the biggest scam .. ever .. if you are reading this buy Beware.. they claim to be work insurance however they make it so incredible hard to receive it. So they don’t have to pay claims it’s almost impossible .. Once you do receive the benefit that’s when the real work begins they ask for doctor reports they ask for work letters from your employment . Every month .. if you don’t produce these they will stop your payment . I am a firefighter and was injured on the job .. I was given a medical pension and was under the impression they would cover the lost part of my wages 60% ( I only receive 45% of my pension) this is false and not true .. they will only pay you a 100 dollars a month . For the two years .. it is like pulling teeth to get them to do anything .. it take literally weeks to get them to reply to emails .. phone calls well they won’t even respond to those .. this company is a scam .. they want your money but they don’t wanna pay .. trust me do not go with Lincoln financial."

"I faxed my information for a short term disability claim four weeks before my surgery. I was told everything is in order and completed I should get a call after surgery. I was never told I needed medical records to finish paperwork for this claim until a week after my surgery when I called them,at the time no one had been assigned to my claim and when James was assigned he told me he had to research my medical records for anything prior to January when my policy started. So here I am three weeks after my surgery, paid disability insurance for nine months still no money, still processing. By the time I get my payout I am probably going to be back to work. I feel like I paid for insurance that I am never going to get to use. Meanwhile out for six weeks with no paycheck."
