"Absolutely DO NOT take your taxes to Ed Garrison. He had me drop off all my paperwork for the tax prep and tells me he will be considerably cheaper than H and R block and couldn't believe I took my taxes there. Tells me he will call me when the taxes are done for me to come in a sign papers. The next morning I get a call that they are done and I am told they cost the same $210 it would have cost me to go to H and R block. It was a standard return, didn't have to itemize. When I show up to pay, my taxes were already submitted and I was given the forms to sign and return through the mail. After I left I reviewed my taxes since they weren't gone over with me in office and realized that the information for my bank account for direct deposit was wrong. I immediately called him and his response was "uh oh". He stated that due to the fact that my return was already submitted changes could not be made. Let me again say that we had not signed a single form or approved anything before he submitted it. He stated if it did not go into my account the IRS would mail me a check. Great, but now I have to attempt to find out if the account number is actually an existing account. If so then my return will be given to someone else and I will have to dispute it with IRS and the bank. He stated that he was going to refund me my fee of $210 for the inconvenience and the fact that it was his error. Instead he still deposited my check and then tells me that he will refund it is things don't "go the normal way". Yea its not going to. So ultimately this has caused me more money than H and R Block would have cost and more of a headache. I understand mistakes, but at least H and R does it in front of you and double checks everything and allows you to check it also before submitting. I am sure there is something against submitting a return also without the signature of the individuals filing the return. Very Shady and doesn't hold to his word."
