"Be careful!!! I hired Ms. Guerra to help me with a simple divorce process. My husband was ok with it, me too, we didn’t have anything to fight for or divide. When I was signing the contract with Ms. Guerra she was reassuring me that my divorce was so simple that she would get it done in less than a month and it would cost me $3500 or even less. As soon as I signed and she took my initial payment (non-refundable!) she gave my case to a paralegal or another attorney working in her office that she never mentioned and during the 4 months she worked on my case never presented to me, even though I asked to meet him multiple times. Ms. Guerra and her paralegals charged me crazy amounts of money for every phone call or e-mail they exchanged with me! Their advises and actions complicated and extended my case and Ms. Guerra kept asking me for money until we reached a point that I paid more than $4000 and she told me that if I want them to keep working on my case I need to pay more and she couldn’t guarantee me how much the divorce would end up costing me and was estimating it at $7000 more. At that point I asked her if I decided to change her and hire another lawyer would the new lawyer be able to continue from the point she have reached and would she give all the documents she have obtained so far to the new lawyer to which she replied: “This is confidential information”. Then I asked isn’t that my confidential information to which she again repeated the above. Then I looked and went for consultation with another lawyer who I hired and soon after I was divorced. I’m really glad I had the support of my relatives who encouraged me and didn’t let me continue to waste my hard earned money in the office of Ms. Guerra. I consider this a robbery and extremely unprofessional behavior. I hope my review can save other people. And dear Ms. Guerra if divorce wasn’t your expertise you should have turned me down as a client. What you did to me, all the stress that you cause me and all the money and time you made me waste wasn’t nice at all. I hope you change for better and don’t do that to anyone again."
