"I sought Mr. Seigel’s help on three issues. Over the course of one year plus the completion statuses are: case closed at 50%, closed at 100% and not started/closed at 0%. While I did find him to be empathetic and attentive when we spoke, which are qualities I appreciated, I do not feel my interests in any of the issues were properly represented. When I recently tried to express my dissatisfaction for the lack of response/action, instead of ownership I received argument and I have no interest in arguing with a lawyer :) If my communications slipped through the cracks, there was still no proactive outreach on the outstanding issues. "If you are involved in a difficult or unagreeable custody case, I would NOT recommend this attorney. My experience with Jay was that he was incredibly unorganized, and *entirely* uninterested in the outcome of the case - he did not have mine or my child's best interest in mind, and I unfortunately followed his advice, which only made my case that much more difficult for me - the advice given was awful, but I didn't know it at the time. I should not have done what he advised me to do, which several other family attorneys have since agreed was bad advice. Jay was my attorney for 10-11 months.
