"Hobson was nice and easy to get ahold of on the phone. He was not able to keep up with his workload and let deadlines pass. He was chosen for me through a legal plan at work. I had to watch the public postings to see what was happening with my case. He missed the deadline for mediation even though I had told him from the beginning my preference on what mediator to use. I didn’t know he missed the deadline til I saw it on the public record online. At my evidentiary hearing, he didn’t present any evidence and the case was dropped. He never filed service with the court and when I got a new lawyer months later, we were at a standstill because of this. It took over a month to get this paper from him that should have been filed over 6 months before this. I don’t think he has enough help and takes on more cases than he can handle. He was very nice, always asking how I was and did always answer his phone. But, he couldn’t get the case done for me and seemed like he would’ve been fine with it dragging out for years. Just not what I needed for a divorce attorney."

"I was referred to Joseph Hobson by my employer's legal services insurance. Mr. Hobson was very difficult to reach, and he routinely seemed to ignore calls and texts for days at a time until I decided to end his involvement in my case (which, in all fairness, he was never involved in as he did nothing nor did he seem to file anything regarding it.) I just wish that if he wasn't able to dedicate time to my case, that he had told me so before I trusted him with it. That way, I wouldn't have had to scramble less than a week before a court appearance to find appropriate counsel. Funny that he appeared in a documentary excoriating serial killer Aileen Wournos's incompetent former lawyer, Dr. Legal, and he's proud enough of it that he put it on his website. With how he talks and how he makes empty promises, Joseph Hobson could fill in the shoes of Dr. Legal himself, no problem. Get a better lawyer elsewhere. You're better off going public defender."

"The receptionist was very rude when I called and asked to speak with the lawyer about a letter I received. I said I will have my lawyer contact him. She told me you don't have a lawyer and cause I looked at yourpublic records. What? Rude. Unprofessional and very weird. I never told her my name nor did she ask. Then hung up on me. Called back didn't answer. She should be fired. Happened Thursday evening July 9th.. I am waiting for a call or email back?? And reaching out."
