"Beware - do not depend on Island Mail to provide sufficient packing…..Brought in an antique glass piece that was already bubble wrapped. Needed a box and additional packing material. It arrived in Atlanta in multiple pieces but the box had no damage. Come to find out, The couple at Island Mail had added only one sheet of bubble wrap and used a box that was way too big. It was clearly insufficiently wrapped inside the box but they refused to take any responsibility for their “service”."

"This business is advertised to be open weekdays until 5pm. We arrive at 410pm today to ship important purchases to NY only to find they were not open. The business phone message indicted they were open. As such, we had to pay $18 x 2 to Uber to a physical UPS store. The UPS store was open as advertised and staff were extremely helpful. Lesson learned trying to support a local business. Ironically, several other potential customers shared equal frustration as we waited for our Uber ride. Every other local business on Anna Maria Island was a pleasant experience throughout our week stay."

"DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS FOR SHIPPING. The owner is out to take advantage of people by charging OUTRAGEOUS prices. I bought two lamps at $300. I dropped them off and the girl who assists him said it would be right around $100 which was steep but we couldn’t carry them on the plane. She said they would call with the exact price. They called and charged me $269 dollars to ship. I was furious. And, that is not all I received the boxes damaged...lamp shade and base damaged. See photos."

"The best service I have had at any establishment during the COVID-19 pandemic! I am staying in AMI in my family's vacation home, which is unequipped with a printer or any basic mailing necessities. I ended up needing to do a return to manufacturer for a warranty issue with an electronic, and needed to find a FedEx shipping location that would do ALL of the packaging and printing for me which I was expecting to be a total hassle and cost an arm and a leg. I went to Island Mail out of pure convenience, and was VERY pleasantly surprised. All of the service was curbside, the gentleman helping me was very cognizant of Social Distancing guidelines and was wearing a face mask. I explained that all I had was the item I needed shipped, but needed a box, packing peanuts, tape, and the label printed. He told me it would be no issue, and explained that they I could simply connect to their store Wi-Fi, which was very clearly printed on the curbside table, and could print the label straight from my phone. SO. EASY! He took my item needing shipping, and was back in less than 2 minutes with it perfectly packaged and a shipping receipt ready to go. Best of all... my total was only $4! I cannot express how refreshing it was to have such excellent service, especially during a process that is normally frustrating and expensive. Would 10/10 recommend for all printing/packaging needs on AMI!"
