"I am disappointed following my recent service appointment at AutoNation Cadillac, where I've been a customer for three years since purchasing my vehicle. During this time, I've dealt with three different service advisors, as they seem to frequently leave the dealership. I purchased a service plan from AutoNation that was supposed to cover maintenance tasks like oil changes for the duration of my finance term, believing it to be a financially sensible choice at the time. When I was due this subject oil change, I received a call from the booking service to schedule an appointment. I arranged for a Wednesday morning but received an email the day before, mistakenly stating my appointment was on Tuesday. I managed to rearrange my day and went to the dealership. Additionally, I had requested the call representative to have the service advisor contact me due to concerns about my maintenance plan being I had received several emails from AutoNation suggesting my plan was expiring—contrary to my contract being valid until 2027—I never got any response to my emails sent to the service center, or a call back from the assigned advisor. What was extremely frustrating was that after the oil change was completed, the service advisor attempts to hand me a bill for the oil change which is supposed to be covered. This is after I had expressed to them my concerns upon arriving, inquiring on why I was receiving notices about my service agreement expiring. The advisor initially advised the notices are auto generated and that I could disregard. However when it came time to leave, the advisor then states "No, their computer shows you have had the 6 service appointments". Upon reviewing the service agreement I had signed, it illustrated I am entitled to 12 service appointments (oil changes) valid through 2027/50,000 miles. It took me an extra 2 hours to leave the dealership to have this resolved as the adviser and other service reps standing by insisted I was incorrect and I would have to pay for the oil change. I do not live in the area, nor would I drive to that dealership if my maintenance agreement was not going to be honored. When I had purchased the vehicle I was sold on the plan that it would be valid at any AutoNation, which made me feel more comfortable being that Cadillac dealership is not close to my home. That did not age well when I tried to bring my car to other AutoNation locations... While waiting, I overheard several customers being incorrectly informed that certain services were not covered by their "maintenance" or "service plans", leading them to reluctantly pay. This seems to be a tactic by the service team. It's clear there needs to be better communication regarding what is included in the "maintenance plan" before customers decide to purchase it. While I'm not expecting coverage for tires, brakes, or windshield wipers, I do expect issues related to the vehicle's workmanship over time to be addressed. I'm leaving 2 stars as I was able to leave the dealership without being billed for that oil change, however that was not without a headache. I am lacking confidence in this "service agreement" going forward."

He wasn’t rude, AT ALL, but not an elevated customer service encounter :)"
