Calico Sarasota

"I worked with Calico Corners on a cornice board treatment for several months. The workmanship was sub-par. The store took it back twice to try to correct fabric that didn't lay flat, corners that were not fitted, and pleats that flared out. After the third install the cornice is "okay", but not great. It has bulky staples on top and the pleats still flare. The proportion of the cornice to the window is too small. The lining fabric was not thick enough to prevent light from showing through and so the very expensive Tibaut fabric is now way too faded (and will likely actually fade over time) when sunlight comes through the window. The store asks for a 100% payment up front, so there is very little recourse. I asked for a credit and received $117 back on a $1600 cornice. This is wholly unacceptable. I am CERTAIN there are other shops with better work rooms in Sarasota. I would suggest you seek those out."
