"Had my card quoted at a different shop. Told me $3500 for a new one. Called American transmission. Had my car checked out and all it was was a speed sensor problem. $287 problem fixed car runs great! Mike is awesome!"

"I spent about 4 hours calling around for quotes in transmission work on my Nissan rogue, and out of all the people I spoke with, Mike at American Transmission & Auto was by far one of the most professional and upfront people I dealt with, he was open about the prices, extremely knowledgeable and able to give me an excellent quote and even took the time to call back the dealer to ensure all the questions I had were answered fully. Ultimately I happened to go with another shop for my work, through no fault of Mikes’, it just boiled down to logistics and what could amount to a family deal on the work. Even still I contacted Mike to let him know and he was still amicable as can be and even he was like that is a great deal i don’t blame you in the slightest. Consummate professional, I am certain American Transmission will he receiving my business and my recommendation often. Their prices were reasonable, fair and extremely competitive. 10/10 would recommend"

"Mike is one of a kind. Knows his craft. Always seek his advice when I'm having problems with my vehicles. His rates are very competitive. Competence is the only work to describe him."

"Very happy with how Mike does business. Straightforward, quick, fixed correctly the first time. I enjoy cars and I am more than happy to bring him not only my daily drivers but also my collector vehicles even if his shop isn't so pretty. I have experience with very well marketed shops and they may look pretty but many times the techs can be clueless. Put very simply he knows what he's doing. His rate is not cheap but it is reasonable and when dealing with someone that knows what they're doing I don't know how you could ask for anything more."

"I bought a ford explorer that had 9k miles on a rebuilt transmission from this shop and when I bought it the transmission was slipping into neutral so I took it into Mike and he couldn't determine the issue and said to drive it around until codes came up. The transmission started leaking and codes appeared so I took it back to them and they had it for six weeks before telling me I was all set and that the car was fixed. I drove it home and before leaving Recker Rd. it was slipping into neutral. By the time I got home there was transmission fluid all over the bottom. A local shop says that the front seal isn't seating properly and that my shifter linkage isn't connected properly. Now after two tows there and a whole lot of wasted time Mike says he doesn't want to work on the car! I'm sorry but a good shop would have never returned a car to a customer in this condition and certainly wouldn't leave them high and dry when this happens. My advice...find somewhere else to take your vehicle:("
