"I saw Sulema in hopes of getting a medical tattoo to cover a scar. She suggested dry tattooing/mcr microneedling as an alternative and I agreed. We completed one session and scheduled a follow up for a month later to do the second round. At the follow up, I showed her how the scars were healing (they had turned from white to red) and she said “I wish you had told me.” She said I would not need another round of dry tattooing because my scars had gone from hypopigmented to hyperpigmented. I was very upset because my scars were now more noticeable than before. She assured me this was a good thing and that it would be relatively easy to fade the redness with a cream. She said she would provide me with a cream to use. After a week of no response from Sulema, I found a cream on my own (I had already tried numerous scar fading creams to no avail prior to consulting a “professional”). I did not receive any communication from Sulema from September 30 (the date of the follow up appointment) until October 27. I do not blame her for my skin’s reaction to the treatment however I do blame her for not explaining the risks of the treatment and her poor communication/follow up. I paid nearly $500 for my scars to become worse."
