"Beautiful little gem of a sink tucked away in the middle of the forest. It's a beautiful short and easy hike in the grounds of the state park. Well worth a visit!"
"One of my favorite places to visit in hot weather!! Especially when you want open water that isn’t an hour away from Tallahassee. Fun area filled with friendly college and high school students most of the time. The wildlife is super neat, where you always see a turtle or two and fish! There’s also a few ropes and areas to swing or jump off from into the water which is one of my favorite things to do here. Very fun place if you’re okay with a lot of dirt and rocks. I recommend bringing a floatie or two because it’s hard to get in the water otherwise. The water is VERY deep, spanning around 70 something feet. I would also bring extra tennis shoes to walk that mile or so walk TO the sinkhole from the parking lot. Its an experience to prepare for, so definitely pack some bags of these things before coming!"
"STUNNING. Beautiful water and plenty of places around the water to safely and comfortably enter and exist. This is one of my favorite places! Tips: There are turtles, about 3 when we went. Be careful. They are not friendly. They close at 6. The ranger announced at 5 pm that he was closing the gate exactly at 6, no exceptions. If you needed out you’d have to call some number and they would fine you for trespassing. The hike is about a mile! There’s a gravel trail and it’s shaded. Highly recommend bringing floaties. It will give you a better experience:)"
"This is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places to go. The walk to get there is shaded by trees and has a nice gravel trail to follow. The turtles are very cool to watch. I highly recommend this place."
"It is an amazing spot. Fresh spring water, perfect trees circling for shade, and beautiful wild life. Its a bit of a walk about 1.5 miles. Without a doubt worth the walk!"
