"Really nice downtown area, walking trails around the lake, kayak rentals, bike rentals and usually have people playing music. Several restaurants to choose from and multiple shops to visit. They do have 3 permanent "food trucks" to get a snack at but in my opinion they are wayyyyyy to expensive for what you get."

"Downtown Wellen Park is a vibrant and upbeat park to relax, let loose, enjoy fine dining, shop, kayak, ride bike, hiking, attend events and so much more! I come here regularly and it's still in development and growing more beautiful by the day. Mattamy Homes does a great job updating this park. It's by far the most beautiful park in Southwest Florida that I've been to. Great for families and all ages. I used to live in California, so something about this park reminds me in some ways of The Grove Mall in California with the way the shops line up surrounding open scenic walkways. Wellen Park as a whole has alot of opportunity and potential to be something far greater. Something I'd suggest for this place is: -Movie Theater / Drive-In Movie theater -Automated Buses like the one's at Babcock Ranch/Downtown St.Pete (since there's Solstice, Everly and so many other home communities, having dedicated transport option for all ages would be cool!) -Ziplining (like TreeUmph at Brandenton for example) -Solar chargers (like the solar "trees" at Babcock Ranch) -Wellen Pass (a subscription-based program that offers discounts to the surrounding attractions like the Atlanta Braves games, transport options, etc to entice locals to eat and shop there more often). Could even cover the costs of maintenance making the entire thing self-sustainable. -Canopy Walkway so that one can view Wellen from a higher vantage point, could even tie into a zipline park (hint hint)"
"Such a cute little play park for the kids. The turf is under the play place so plan accordingly for that. There is also a splash pad close by, I would recommend for 2 and younger.. it think older kids would get bored too easily. Lots of stuff to do close by. Great coffee and icecream spot!"
