"This is a lovely campground - great spot to test out your Dry camping (no electric or water hook ups). The sites are well spread apart and plenty of vegetation between for privacy. The spring itself is pretty neat, it was crowded but still fun. There is a kayak run, but it was closed when I was there. I am going to come back this summer, so will update later. :) https://youtu.be/HZCbNYW2N6w"
"Juniper Springs rec area and campground is all kept very natural. The spring swimming area is beautiful and refreshing. Be aware that if you are camping, there is no electricity at any of the campsites. Even the pull throughs for RVs. Some tent sites are very remote and primitive, but they do have several water spigots to share throughout the campground and bear proof food lockers. It will be extremely dark at night as there are no lamps. The most unfortunate about this park is that the trails and boardwalks are not kept up and repaired so they are just closed off and has been for a long time. There are just a few short trails available to walk. Old shelters are just closed off as well. It must have been very nice at one time when the boardwalks were open. Bathrooms are good, the showers at our loop had timer buttons to push and the water will come out pre- mixed of hot / cold so it can't be adjusted. Firewood and ice for sale at ranger station which is a plus."
"Camp sites are very small. They are bear boxes which is very nice. The spring itself is very small but has awesome diving availability that isn’t too advanced. There’s a nice cave about 10-12 feet down, also a good place to bring kids and not have to monitor them 100% of the time as swimming area is small, there are ledges all around and a lifeguard. The bathrooms are easily accessible but absolutely filthy. The showers are horrible. There is some hott water. There was NO toilet paper for more than a day in the bathrooms. Per all over the seats. Everyone that goes to the springs that are not camping there have the ability to walk through everyone else’s campsites. There is ample amount of shade. And water spickets. Check out at 11 is very difficult if you have kids, need to clean up and cook before you head out. Also- the camp grounds get absolutely FLOODED if it rains. I love camping but these campgrounds could have been better maintained and stop allowing access to the camp grounds to people that aren’t even camping there. Our campsite- #20 is DIRECTLY beside a heavily populated trail that everyone takes to get to the water."
"Clean facilities, camp size is nice, lots of mosquitoes and bugs, no electric hookup. We had a rattle snake visit our camp- which was scary with all the kids around"
"Facilities were very good, you have your own kitchenette and dishwasher. Please note, an additional $28 will be charged per night for parking and Wi-Fi; no one was informed about this."
