"This is a great place to launch or camp. The entrance sign is very misleading because it's on the Left side of the street and nowhere near the camping area or launch! You have to continue several hundred yards down the road and it's on the right with no signage until you're already inside the park. There's also no cell phone reception there. They have showers but they are outside in the open with no privacy and sulfur water that stinks. Make sure you bring your own water. Bring exact change for camping or parking to feed the Iron Ranger."

"$10 a night to Camp. Bear Safe trash cans, Clean men and womens bathroom. Showers exterior. Sites are 40x60 Pull thru or tent friendly. Literally right on the river. Serene, peaceful, quiet and plenty of shade. We saw attendants yesterday emptying trash and cleaning bathroom. They stack fallen limbs do they can be used for firewood. If you are strong and have the will, you can drag pre-cut firewood laying in the woods back to camp. We got 4 huge 3ft logs back and burned an all day and all night fire. The boat launch is primitive and functional. There is non-potable water at 1 station next to host site to wash dishes and such. Very nice place with great views."

"Absolutely love Gores landing for camping and kayaking. Great group site. Walk-ups only, 1st come 1st served. They have flush toilets, but the water is sulfur water, so bring your own fresh drinking water. Primitive, no hookups. Only bad thing to say…it depends on who the caretaker is. Went there once and the guy’s main goal of his job was to get away from people. We were a group of 40, and he clearly didn’t want us there."

"What a fun trip! Tons of wildlife and alligators along the river. Found a small area to dock, and eat some sandwich’s. Great family time"
