"One of the coolest free experiences you can have! Dames Cave is unforgettable, especially for those looking for an adventure, and a challenge! There are over 30 caves open to explore, BUT all of them are not marked, so you will have to do some exploring to find ones off the beaten path. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing plenty of water, some snacks, and headlamps and flashlights are a must have when going down into the caves!! On that note, there are some tight spaces, and I don't recommend squeezing into an unknown space if you're alone and have no one to help if you get stuck haha, but most importantly have fun and enjoy the experience!!"

"Dames Cave in Withlacoochee Forest is truly a hidden gem! We had a fantastic day trip just an hour's drive outside of Tampa, and the adventure began with a bit of a treasure hunt as we searched for the "unofficial" parking lot, which ultimately led us to the entrance of the trail. Make sure when using your GPS to put in “Dames Cave Unofficial Parking Lot.” The trail is accessible and easy, making it a perfect idea for people of all ages to enjoy. Who would have thought Florida had caves? Dames Cave proved to be a pleasant surprise, with its unique charm and beauty. We also explored the adjacent Peace Cave via a short trail. While smaller, it was definitely worth the extra steps. The only downside was the graffiti that covered the cave walls, which detracted from its natural splendor, but the overall experience was still breathtaking. A quick tip for fellow adventurers: Don't forget to pack bug spray and be diligent in checking for ticks. All in all, Dames Cave is an enchanting day trip destination, providing a taste of Florida's hidden wonders and natural beauty. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for an easy and memorable outdoor experience."

"These are amazing caves a short distance From the road. Some small openings leading to large rooms. Dames has an open room and a totally enclosed room with about 10 foot ceiling. I would like to explore more of these area soon."

"Lovely set of caves, spray painted galore, but still a worthwhile trek to feel the old florida. Easy hike out to the caves, probably 20 minute walk. Be aware there is NO infrastructure. Bring water and go to the bathroom beforehand. Also, the parking lot is really incognito, so refer to the picture to find it easier."
