"A staff from a church and my property manager and I contacted Mulberry Community Service Center last week. A staff told all of us that they can help me with rent assistance. I explained to the person on the phone what happened how a scammer has my bank information impersonated me, logged into my bank account online reversed payments that I made to Toyota and Direct auto for February and March total $1190.93. I filed a claim with Chase that I didnt do it. Chase Bank paid back the merchants. Thought the bank wouldnt charge me. Chase Bank kept all my direct deposits to cover the money paid to the metchants. Anyways, I went to that MCSC , brought the documents requested. Only I was shamed and put down by the staff there. Katie or Kathy lied that she never promised to help or asked me to bring in documents. They told the property manager and the church member the same thing. That woman was focused more on that I made money but not the fact that I'm getting evicted and that the bank took my earned income due to the scam. She went on all over my bank statement about direct deposits made to my accounts two months ago. Yeah I used the income to pay rent for March, April, on top of that my car payment and auto imsurance, gas and food. I took my documents and left as I was having a panic attack. Thank you for causing me more stressed. I got panic attack on the way home yesterday. Being traumatized by scam, and getting evicted have already caused me depressed only to get shamed by these women. I hope to find out about their donors. These people arr very racist and discriminate those seeking help. Supposebly they are christians? Learn about trauma informed and practice humility. That woman at the center was rather argumentive and racist than being of help. Thank you for my panic attack."

"This community center is a joke. Polk county received over 1 million dollars in funding for the community and the staff act like the money only goes to who they want to help! Katie worked with me personally on my situation. She literally gave me a run around asking for paperwork that was giving to her to let me know 4 days later that her director Jennifer wasn’t able to assist! The director didn’t even try to help. They looked at my documents and basically said this lady makes good money DENIED! Not even considering what is actually going on. This community center is not helping families that fallen on challenging times! THEY HELP ONLY WHO THEY WANT TO HELP!"

"I am very happy to hear that the senior center is moving and even happier to hear that they are supposed to be getting a whole new crew to run the place. The people that have been operating this place are extremely rude and racist towards the white elderly people who are just looking for a place to hang out and share a meal, a cup of coffee and hopefully make a friend. This is no place for that kind of behavior. They harass people until they don't want to go there anymore. I have sincere hope that this will become a center that is there for ALL of our seniors and not just a hangout for seniors who want to behave like thugs."
