"SO happy to have found a locally owned shop like this - no need to go to Ulta anymore. I specifically stopped in for BareMinerals that was hard for me to find, and they had what I was looking for! I was impressed at the variety of brands & items available from makeup to hair to skincare. Bina & staff were extremely friendly & helpful - will definitely be using Skintopia as my one-stop shop for beauty moving forward!"

"I have been a customer of Skintopia for a while now and have spent a lot of $$$ there on skincare products and other things in her shop. In the beginning I was told I could not buy a facial but could get a free facial for every $250 purchase I make. I also was told my purchase amount will always be on my account. Ive had several facials so far and Paula is fantastic but Bina? Rude and very pushy. It bothered me but brushed it off. In November my mother and I went in on Black Friday and made some purchases that put us both over $250 and at checkout Bina asked if we would like to set up a day for facial. We of course said yes. Bina let us know that she had nothing until January which was fine with us because we already are over $250. So we both made appointments. My moms was a Friday and mine was on a Saturday. I went and got my facial and when I was done, Paula recommended a few items and I picked three items that added up to about $150 and Bina told me I had to spend $250 or I would have to pay for the facial. I was like WHAT? Why would I pay for it when I already spent the $250 for the facial. Bina says its a new year. Well I’m sorry that you had no appointments in December available because you closed most of that month but never knew that anything changed. Never was told that I would lose my $250 purchase because of a new year? Never told me anything until after facial was done either. Now my mother had no problem, she received her facial at no charge and only spent $170. Bina knows what she did and it is wrong. She is trying to make me purchase more than I need. Now she has lost me as a customer and my mother will not be back either. I support all local businesses, I hardly ever order anything online, but I suppose I will now. That day I paid $125 Tipped Paula $30 and left the items that I was purchasing there and left. DONE"

"One star for an amazing amount of inventory centrally located in lovely downtown Punta Gorda. I haven't entered Skintopia for about 4 years. At that time I spent close to $1,000.00 on products. In the end, the owner's pushy attitude, condescending tone and rude comments are the reason I had not been back. However, I stopped in a few days ago to try a "new to me" foundation hoping maybe she'd be different. She was not! I was first working with Bina. The young clerk in the cosmetic area, who ended up helping me, could not have been nicer or more helpful. But after I got home last week and applied it once to my entire face I realized the product I chose was not the right shade and too light for me; I looked like I was ready for the casket. It was not cheap. I brought it back today and inquired about swapping it for a darker shade. I was told 3 times, loudly, in front of another customer, by Bina, that she had told me to buy the darker tone, which she had. But because I had opened the product that there was nothing she could do. (However, she could have taken back my purchase and saved it to use on clients trying makeup when needed, and given me the darker shade to use allowing me to leave satisfied and as a return customer. ) OK, I understand she chose not to do that. Her perogative. What I absolutely am upset about is that she "dressed me down" in front of another customer. Seems her "need to be right" far outweighed the comfort or satisfaction of her customer. And for that reason I will eat the cost of this purchase and never, ever return to Skintopia. Ever!!"

"Stopped by for a Jane Iredale Pressed Mineral Power REFILL. Was treated to a complete face makeup redo! The color choice that Bina selected for my skin was more natural than what I had been using. So grateful for the time and expertise that was freely given for my 'better match' skin tone achievement!"

"I was having a challenging time Labor Day weekend due to storm Dorian approaching. I needed to find a product that would assist with some skin issues. I have very sensitive skin and have not had much success with products. I contacted Skintopia by Bina in hopes that she might be able to assist me. I was in luck, due to the storm she was at the store and told me to come right in. I am so appreciative and blessed that Bina was kind enough to take the time. She not only provided me with educational information about my skincare but generously gave me a makeover for an event I had that evening. Bina made me feel very comfortable while she completed the makeover, informing that I should not feel obligated to make a purchase. She stated she just wanted me to feel and look my best. I was blown away with the knowledge, kindness, and service that Bina provided on a day that she was not open. I will be a repeat customer and can honestly say that within a week of wearing the product I purchased it looks amazing and has done wonders for my skin. Thank you so much Bina for going above and beyond your store is beautiful!"
