"I’m a snowbird that comes down to AMI every year but never felt I could ever find a salon on the island that will care for my hair as well as my salon back home, well I was wrong! I booked a haircut with Nikita and was so happy with the results! I showed her a picture and we discussed at length the look since I hate to cut my long hair but I wanted a more modern look and she nailed it. Do not hesitate to visit her salon, it’s clean and beautiful and everyone is very sweet and make you feel at home. Salon Salon will be my go-to during our annual visits from now on."

"I really don’t like to leave negative reviews but for formal hairstyles I would definitely not recommend. My mom and I came in to get our hair styled for a wedding we were attending. My mom asked for a half up half down style and I asked for my hair down with curls and volume. We both left very dissatisfied with our hair and had to rush to redo everything. My hair was curled, then when it was cool, put in Velcro rollers, then blow dried, then re curled. NO heat protectant was used and the curling iron was held on my hair longer than usual for each piece. I noticed it but thought hey, this is a professional who knows what they are doing. Wrong. This is obviously not an effective way to curl hair and turned out to be a tangled mess, a YouTube video could teach more than that. We both had to go home and redo our hair in a rush.. My mom’s hair which took about 15-20 minutes was around $145. Mine was less but took a very long time due to the ineffective curling that was done. The salon is very nice but I would not recommend going for a formal hairstyle. They are absolutely not trained in that and should not offer that service. Especially for the price. I paid $60 for heat damage and tangles."

"I’ve been going to Salon Salon for over 5 years and have been incredibly fortunate to have worked with many of their stylists including (in the past) Carson and Whitney, and (present) Nikita (who is also the co-owner). Every single one has been so knowledgable, talented, kind, generous, and overall a pleasure to work with. I drive approximately an hour from my home every 8 weeks, happily, because I walk in feeling at ease and knowing that I will always leave feeling the best and most confident version of myself. This past year I’ve worked with Nikita to try new styles for me (tape-in and hand-sewn extensions), and to return to a past fav of mine of pops of pink that make me feel like *me*. This is a long review already, but I honestly could go on for days about how much I love this place, its talented and friendly staff, and the way I feel every time I’m there. No pushy sales tactics, anxiety-free consults, kind and generous education so that I can learn more about what I can do on my own to get salon-like results, and genuine friendly people make this a must for any local looking for a new salon."
