"BEWARE. If I could give 0 stars it would be more appropriate. I’m shocked at the other reviews, but perhaps they had a different stylist. I went to Making Waves for a trim and highlight about two months ago, and it’s now clear that I’ll be paying for that mistake for years. My hair got FRIED. They highlights were done terribly—in drastically large chunks, very far from the root, and too blonde. The trim was uneven. Because my hair got cooked by the stylist my hair is now brittle, looks terribly unhealthy, texture is awful, tangles easily, and is now extremely difficult to style. I love having long hair and it will take years to regrow what’s been damaged. I’ve had to spend a ton of money on hair repair products and multiple appointments elsewhere to try to fix the cut and help repair the damage and color. If you’re looking for color services, proceed with caution."

"I met Penny and she cut my hair and I feel so much better. She is a sweetheart and I made another appointment for 5 weeks. I was so glad I didn't have to wait till next week to get a appointment. Lovely clean place and friendly people. Good prices also."

"Would not recommend. Went in for a full highlight/cut. I asked for caramel highlights and wanted lots of layers. Was told I would be charged more because I have long hair (no problem, I understand more product needs to be used). But what I got was not caramel and non even highlights. I didn’t have time for her to fix it or money (because she said she’d have to charge me more). I called to be refunded and make my complaint so that I didn’t create a scene in the salon. The owner asked that I come in so that she could see my hair to decide what to refund me. While I was refunded part of my money the owner’s attitude was completely rude. I showed up to show her my hair job (like she asked) and she seemed completely uninterested and like she didn’t know why I was there. She looked at the front of my hair and the side at a glance and said “besides that chunk in the front it looks fine”. Ok 1. You didn’t even care to look at ALL my hair 2. SHouldnt all of my hair look good??! I should haven’t any spots that look bad. Thanks for the refund but not the rude demeanor. Never returning. Don’t spend your money here! Picture on the left is what I wanted. Picture on the right is what I got."
