"I have been coming here for a while because most of their staff do a really good job. Everytime Dickey does my nails, he does a wonderful job and he is polite and happy to answer any questions I have, so I must give him all the credit. I don't even mind waiting a long time if the service is good which HE has been great. Now, during my visits I have witnessed Jenny (the lady in charge) not being the nicest to others and I have somewhat been shocked but thinking "maybe she's having a bad day". Well, unfortunately, I was the recipient of that treatment this last time I was there and I have to say I was very disappointed. I never complain, usually my requests are pretty simple, I tip well, etc. I came in and noticed Dickey was busy.. She was available so she asked me to go to her table. She was very abrasive and rude from the time I sat down. We were going to try something new and she asked me if I wanted to test it on one nail first to be sure I liked it and I thought that was a good suggestion..well, when I said I was not a fan, she was very annoyed by it (mind you all she had to do was wipe it off). I'm leaving lots of the story out because I honestly don't want to receive an even worse treatment next time, but in the future, I refuse to sit at her table..I will only let the others do the service. I also asked if she could make them a little thicker since I was going to be gone a while, I wanted them to last and she basically said "if your nails break, that's on you, not us. We do the same for everyone". The tone she used every time she asked to put my hand in to dry, or give her the other hand was as if I was a kid being scolded. I write this not with the intention to hurt the business, but to help it. I, in fact, think I will continue going because there are other people there who are a pleasure to work with, but I feel that with her attitude, others who work there will be affected if she keeps disrespecting customers like that. This seems to be more than a bad day, unfortunately. Respect goes both ways."

"I've been going here for long time because they do good work. However, I cannot ignore anymore the rude and nasty attitude of the "main lady" there, I believe her name is Jenny. I have experienced it many times, and I even stopped going there for many months because of it. I decided to go back because I really needed my nails done and it's really hard to find someone who can do them how I like. But lo and behold, I remembered why I have not been in so long. Jenny did it again!!! I don't know what has happened to her in her life to make her so bitter and nasty, but the way she treats people is not acceptable. To those who love her, sit her down and talk to her. If you don't care how people are treated and don't value customer service, then by all means keep going. As for me, my hard earned money will be spent with businesses who care about people and their customers."

"Nails 1st By Ken doesn't have to be polite, friendly, or honor appointments because they are popular without these things. Of course Saturday morings are busy, but don't bother to make an appointment because they will take walk-ins first who line up at the door before opening, regardless. I've heen here 3 times now. The first mani/pedi was delightful and I left happy. In my second pedi, the tech dug in too deep on my toenails, leaving them swollen and sore for a week. I don't wear shoes so my feet aren't exactly sensitive. I arrived before 10 for my last appointment but more customers than chairs were already waiting so my appointment was not honored, and I left. I'm glad for their success, but I will find another nail salon in the future."
