"DO NOT USE this guy!! BEWARE!! He is a snake and doesn't pay his bills. My husband is one of those subcontractors that he RIPPED off for 16k! One of his cars is a porshe and he lives large, but can';t pay his subcontractors when the work is completed. It is shameful to take advantage of hardworking people!!"

"If you would trust someone who calls you from a bathroom in the Bahamas demanding money (on the 4th of July!), Chris is the guy for you! He was delayed by many months and went over budget then told us his usual clients don’t have a budget making us feel cheap. His subcontractors had to lay marble tile on the entirety of our deck three times because they did such a horrible job and he did not supervise. He did not finish the job at our house leaving us without a crawl space, with un-grouted tile, missing siding from the length of our home that he threw away, plumbing leaks under our new deck, giant piles of trash in our yard and non-functional water and electricity to our dock. He promised he would finish the job, we gave him the final payment and then he disappeared and will not answer phone calls or emails."

"Chris Phillips is the master at creating the "outdoor livingroom". For years his work has been the choice of affluent owners of luxury homes from Tampa Bay to Sarasota. He does it all...pools, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, landscape design...executed professionally and artfully with the big picture in mind."

"Beware. Chris is an excellent used car salesman. He first states the costs for building a pool, in my case, $60,000 to $70,000 thousand. Then he designs the pool, get the engineering done, taking months to do that.. At that point he gets all his subcontractors quotes which takes a few more weeks, then he states the costs will really be $140,000. DOUBLE the original quote. DOUBLE. When you don't go through with it, he sends you an overpriced bill for the design and engineering. If you don't pay, he threatens you with a lien. When I gave the plans to another pool contractor, he improves the plan and gave me a quote for $71,000. He does so without knowing how much Chris was going to charge.As a senior citizen, I would suggest staying far away from using Phillip Customs Concepts, aka Phillips Pool and Landscape. I am very disappointed."
