"The atmosphere is nice, the food is ok, but the service was horrible. We were there December 28th, for lunch. The cashier lady was terribly rude. My daughter politely asked what the creamy potato soup had and the lady looked upset for having to answer that. I asked her if she could ask somebody and she was calling but she looked very irritated that we asked that. In the end we bought the soup and a wrap because we were hungry. Also, she never told us where to get the food so we sat there waiting and we went to the cashier and didn't see any food and again I asked her where to get the food and again she looked like we were inconveniencing her and people in line told us where to get it. Terrible service! What could be a great memory for us ended up being a bad moment for the terrible experience with a gratuitous angry demeanor."
"The Fairchild is a great visit, and food at the Cafe is good. Hummus was a bit bland, and prices are a little high for a self service format, but a good choice is you're hungry at Fairchild on a non-festival visit"
"You don’t come for the food. It’s a respite from the heat. Best part is the wall of windows to view the butterfly house. Just get a drink and sit and watch them fly by."
"I had never eaten here before but I was at the Aroid Festival and we decided to give it a shot. My friend and I both ordered the club sandwich and chips and it was very good. Fresh ingredients, prepared the way I asked, and the cashier/ server was friendly and polite. A little pricey, but good food and obviously great scenery."
