"Jessie was our waitress and she was so sweet and accommodating! I ordered the chicken tacos and it was so yummy! The queso is also amazing. We sat up on the rooftop the sun was shining and it was gorgeous!"

"Shoutout to Sal Y Mar Tampa for hosting our Galentine's celebration! Sal y Mar exceeded our expectations. John, our server and Johnathan the chef were amazing and helped guide us to ordering the perfect meal to please our taste buds. The food is incredible and the service was very attentive. We tried the Tostones shooters, the croquettes and the caprese (not pictured)that were to die for! Everything came out hot and cooked to perfection. They treated us to a bottle of Hermosa tequila which our server brought mixers, limes and everything we needed! Not to mention, the ambiance was spectacular and uplifting. I will be returning to Sal y Mar the very next free day I get!"

"I was so excited to try this spot and my first experience was incredible! The interior and aesthetic of this place is attractive to the eye. The rooftop, skyline view and music is the place to be for a good time. Service was 10/10. Chef Johnathon is so talented and I can see why he is an award winning chef. We enjoyed every dish from the fresh ceviche which had the perfect amount of kick to it, to the tostones shooters and my two favorites were the lamb chomps and the surf & turf bifongo . I will be returning for sure and can’t wait to check out their brunch next."

"The atmosphere is very nice inside and outside. We sat outside. The food was good. I'll start with my favorite item. I absolutely loved the fried "whole snapper" it's not really a whole amount of fish meat as they filet both sides of the snapper, fry the fish head that's attached to the fish bone. Then they take the fish meat, batter it and fry it in bite sized chunks. I love that the fish is seasoned and there's a crunchy batter in every bite of fish. And the presentation of the fish is cute, as they sit the bite sized chunks on the fried fish skeleton. I just don't think the chunks of fish is really the amount of a whole fish. We also ordered Chicken and steak tostones, braised chicken, and ribeye steak. The "half chicken" is a filet so it's not really a half chicken with the wing, breast, leg and thigh. I got half of a chicken back so I'm not sure how the portion is considered a half chicken. The tostones were good however, I wasn't a fan of the protein option I chose. I picked the chicken and beef protein options and they were both on the dry side. The Ribeye was a really good cut of steak. Very juicy but it was under seasoned for our liking. It should have been marinated or brined. The broccoli and yucca mash were super tasty. I will go back and I'll definitely order the snapper and sides again. If I ordered the tostones I'll try the shrimp or a different appetizer all together. I'd recommend you try this place out for yourself. The drinks were delicious. This kiss of death and the margarita were both favorites."
