"I would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Whiting Park for all their help today. We are very new to launching and loading a boat from a boat ramp. The staff was extremely helpful in both guiding us on how to launch and again load our boat. They had no obligation to do so, so we just want to express our gratitude for their help. Great, knowledgeable staff! We also want to thank the Santa Rosa deputies who were patrolling the waters. They too were very helpful and gave us tips on boat launching and informed us of important rules and regulations. Thanks for making our maiden voyage a great one!"
"This is a military-owned park managed by MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation). It is open to military and civilian personnel. However only people with a military ID may rent the watercraft available (skiff, bass boat, canoe, kyak, pontoon, etc). Watercraft are available to rent by the hour or by the day. There is a sandy area with pavilions for picnic and plenty of playground equipment for the children."
